I want to start jogging for the purpose of getting slimmer and firmer thighs. Some people say that that may cause bulkier thighs. Is that true. If it is, is there a way to not cause that. I read somewhere that if you stretch before and after jogging, it'll slim your thighs.

not very likely...

the load that is placed on the quadriceps when running is not optimum for stimulation of the muscles in terms of growth. typically only those who were previously sedentary may see an increase in muscle mass in the upper legs. if and when this does occur the growth is minimal and very short lived. also a caloric excess is neccessary for there to be maximum growth in skeletal muscle as the result of exercise

i'm sorry to say this, but it'll take A LOT of jogging (years) to get, as you say, "bulky thighs." my friend started track in high school, and after 2 years, i am SO JEALOUS of her legs. they are slim AND they are firm, not bulky or disgusting looking.

Jogging burns fat. I don't see how it would make your thighs bulky. I think maybe doing weight trng and *not* doing some form of cardio could bulk you up.
