God is not a physical being, but something that completely transcends anything that the human mind can understand - although by analogy we can say that He is good, omnipotent, omniscient, etc.

He is not an object that we can put in front of us that we can grasp - rather, He contains us.

The best likeness of God would be the light that surrounds everything, that allows us to see everything - God is often referred to light in the Bible - although He is infinitely different than physical light.

God is infinite in subtlety, so He is invisible to the intelligence of the most exalted creatures, if you consider their unaided power - to see Him in the beatific vision in heaven, requires a special power added to the mind that theologians call "the light of glory" that allows us to see him - the blessed in heaven see Him with their intellects and not their material eyes, because He is not of a material nature.

What are you talking about? There are many artist renderings of God. And also those photos on the covers of the National Inquirer, with God in the clouds and shadows and all that.

God was painted in the Sistine Chapel. Michaelangelo painted him White and seminaked(not really). That must have taken a whole bunch of imagination given that he doesn't exist!!
