A rep is one excersise motion, so if you are lifting weights, each time you lift it, you have done one rep. 10-14 reps is a set;)

rep is short for repetition. the number of reps depends on your particular goals. for strength, 1-6 reps; for size, 6-12 reps; and for muscle endurance, 12 or more; using the heaviest weights you can do with good form in the particular rep range.
