Well first of all, her mom told her she wouldnt get him back because he was too aggresssive, but she wasn't telling her the whole truth. About a half an hour later, they told her he had already been put to sleep. Oh my god not even i can get over the heartache because i knew that dog and he was so cool. Its just weird knowing that a perfectly happy dog had no idea that that was going to happen and all the suddun he's dead. Its just a crazy thought. anyway, i want to find a way to make her feel better, shes 12 so its hard to make a young girl help soothe that kind of pain. any suggestions? i need some quick answers because she is gonna call me back in about an hour or so. i dont think that she is gonna go to school. she has had the dog scince she was little and already lost her first dog (baven). How can i help her? Sorry about the long paragraph!

Whenever you lose any pet that you love dearly, it feels like your heart is being torn out of your chest. Time will help, but I think in her case,a small replacement pet such as a kitten would help her to get over it. It transfers the grief to caring and with it being a little kitten, she will know that the kitten is a baby and in need of someone to love and take care of it. Good luck.

It is unfortunate that it was handled that way, but was the dog aggressive? Maybe the parents knew something that wasn't revealed to you, and the dog could have harmed someone. That, of course, would have been even more difficult to handle. Either way, only you know your friend, and what to say to her. Sometimes just being there for someone is what is really important. Only you know how to answer the questions she will have. One little paragraph cannot tell what has happened in a family, or why decisions were made, even decisions that do not seem fair. Hopefully her parents had a very good reason for what they did. Give her love and support, and she will need to hold her happy memories of Zeus dear to her heart. Maybe you and she could hold some sort of "memorial service" in Zeus's honor, when the time is right. Or she could make a special picture albumn about Zeus. My daughter was upset when our 18 year-old cat died (outside, alone). The cat had slept in her crib since she was an infant. The cat sat in her high chair (trying to take my daughter's place), and the cat would sit on her booster seat with her at the dinner table. It is hard when an animal has been part of your life, for so long (as long as my daugter could remember). "Beany" was not supposed to be outside - her getting out was an accident, and it was during a birthday party. Having a good friend or someone who cares is important at a time like this. The support is what is important. Zeus will always be a part of your friend, and she must be a kind person.

Oh dear!

Well, for starters- Shame on Mom for not being honest! I won't say anything about the dog, not knowing the whole story. But I would hope that the dog was put down because it was best for him, not because someone was being mean.

Your friend is going to be very sad about her dog no matter what. About the best thing you can do right now is listen and let her cry.

When my mother had to take an old, well-loved family pet to be put to sleep, my nephew was all of 5 at the time. And it upset him badly. But I brought paper and crayons, and a few pencils, and we sat around and drew pictures of our furry friend and talked about him. This after we buried him and planted a flowering almond over his grave.

Does your friend like to garden? Perhaps you and she can plant flowers, or some small tree or shrub.

Feel better.

Thats an easy one dude I'm 13 and my dog ran away and i feel bad too but i got over it. if shes really crying alot just give it time to heal her wound of loosing her dog. if shes still crying have her parents buy her a new dog or another pet to make her happy and she'll stop crying. if you have a pet let her borrow the pet and see her get better every day. if she is still crying and not going to school then i can't help you any more.

I don't know the perfect thing to say, I had many dogs in my life and it was never easy. There is a poem a friend gave me that might help. Rainbow Bridge:
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special freinds so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who are hurt and maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; you hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together..........

Just be there to listen. Don't judge the parents or anything. Let her vent and let her grieve. She needs to do this in order to move on. It is a part of maturing. And there is no need to bring this up at school to others. If she wants to tell them she will. Good luck

i think of a majority of the canine positioned into shelters are people who can not locate the money for to shelter the canine. nevertheless- it is not a solid reason to in basic terms unload your canine! exceptionally considering that we are dealing with a bad economic equipment terrific now. to help shrink it, i think of people who purchase the canine ought to sign a freelance asserting they are waiting to maintain the canine no rely what, (to no longer abuse it too, by using fact they might kill the canine themselves) and to vow to be there for the canine until the day they section. in the event that they brake that, they must circulate to reformatory or be sued a very severe quantity of money. they must understand, canine stay respiration creatures, that count on them. i think of that there could be an significant shrink interior the type of canine in shelters if all breeders had extra effectual screening techniques for potential proprietors and had a written contract requiring the canine to be decrease back if mandatory re-homing. yet I additionally think of the impolite obnoxious irresponsible people who offered the canine could basically unload it on the look after nevertheless.. God Bless all those animals in shelters/pounds who all deserve a 2nd probability <3 *Prays* God bless. <3
