In my opinion, as long as she isn't in the wedding party, and she's not wearing shorts and a tank top (or a bathing suit), she can wear anything else that she wants!

pass for it! i'm wearing a "little black gown" to a semi-formal nighttime wedding ceremony in some weeks. Mine has some blue in it, yet i imagine in case you take advantage of a brightly colored necklace besides as a bright scarf or something (I have a blue scarf i'd be wearing) then that would prefer to be nice. Black become fairly taboo for a wedding ceremony, yet now various people positioned on black to a wedding ceremony and really have the bride's maids dressed all in black! i have been to three weddings like that.

Yeah, my parents did that for me at my brother's first wedding. I had 2 different pairs of shoes that matched the dress I had to wear. If they go with the dress, then they'll look cute on her.

Yes. I would just make sure that they fit her right, because at my wedding the girls shoes were too big and she kept slipping them on and off throughout the cermony. Thank god they did not fall down the church stairs during the cermony.

Make sure they match her dress, they're appropriate and not beachwear. Otherwise, of course. There's no sense putting shoes on little toes that are just going to raise blisters -- make sure she's comfortable but dressed neatly and appropriately.

I have been to weddings where little girls, bridesmaids and even the bride has worn satin Isotoner slippers. They can be dyed to match the dress, but feel so comfy. Anything goes if the Bride wants it! :)

IN THIS AGE, IT SEEMS APPROPIATE FOR KIDS TO WEAR LOTS OF THINGS THAT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ALLOWED WHEN I WAS GROWING UP. THERE ARE SO MANY CUTE LITTLE SLIP-ONS, I DON'T SEE WHY NOT. I HAVE BEEN SEEING SEVERAL LITTLE SLIP-ONS THAT ARE ADORABLE AND WOULD BE APPROPRIATE ANYWHERE THAT ANYONE WANTED TO WEAR THEM. I PERSONALLY THINK THEY WOULD BE FINE.

If you mean Crocs or flip-flops, then no, it's not appropriate. They're too casual for a wedding in my honest opinion.

Mules? It depends on her age and the height of the heel. Nothing higher than 1 inch for girls 8 and under. Also, some of those mules are really too sexy for young girls, so make sure the style is appropriate.
