Hi! I'm 12 years old and I want to be healthy and excercise, but there is a problem. I always suggest to my mom to buy the 'healthier versions' of food - such as whole grain bread or 100 calorie snacks & she does but always throws a fit about why do u need the healthy foods and blah blah blah which makes me feel bad and i get angry at her. also i suggest we take walks with our dog and go to the park and play outside & she says OK ((in a grumpy voice)) but never does. I gets on my nerves! and its not like i can walk my dog or even ride my bike by myself cuz we dont live in the nicest neighborhood around. Im not fat - not skinny. i could loose a few pounds. im 5 feet 95 or 96 lbs. can you please help me find ways that i can excerise by myself or eat healthier? O i forgot something! I have a problem w/ eating too much. Im constantly hungry and have to eat or I feel weak and sometimes get a headache. Please help with that also to find some way to help me straigten out my life!!!!

Put the radio on in your room and just dance. Dancing is the easiest way to loose weight, but i dont mean slow dancing. LOL!!
You might want to get checked out by a doctor if you are getting headaches when you dont eat tho. I have the same problem and i am border line diabetic. When im on the proper diet i dont have the headache issues.

Try switching your diet around, like eat more dinner and breakfast while trying to snack less. You can also try to go to the grocery store with your mother and encourage her there to get more healthy foods and if you have the time, join a sport somehwere. If you have a big enough back yard, try to exercise there, like buy a jumprope or something...
