He has gone to the emergency room and had a CT scan, the results were normal, I took him to an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist yesterday, they referred him to see a Neurologist today who scheduled him for an immediate MRI/MRA which was also done today. No stiff neck, no vomiting, some nausea. He sleeps all day and when he's not sleeping he's miserable. He was prescribed OXY IR (oxycodone) and told he possibly has viral meningitis. The problem is, he does not have any of the symptoms except the headache. No results back yet from the MRI. Has anyone else had a long-term headache and were you diagnosed with anything? Please help!!

It's been 10 days, no light sensitivity or anything that makes me assume it's a migrane.

I've had sinus head aches for 10 days...and I rarely have a head ache...does he have ANY mucus? Would Mucinex help? I am a true believer in Vicks Vapor Rub! If you are willing to try ANYTHING...maybe those two things will help!
And a hot shower will open up sinuses and will a cup of hot cocoa or a bowl of hot soup.

If the doctors rule out meningitis, he should go to his dentist to see if he has periodontal problems. He should also monitor his blood pressure. If it's too high sometimes it will cause a headache. You didn't mention if you have had a headache as well. A Headache and nauseau without an obvious cause could be due to carbon monoxide in your house. Have you had it checked? You may be able to get someone from your local fire department check the carbon monoxide level for you.

We have treated 15 - 20 yrs cases.
There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, sweet fruits, milk, rice and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.

I know this won't make a lot of sense to you, but I've been there, the only thing that got me through it was to have a very strong coffee, at the first sign now, I get a Latte' at Starbucks and keep it away. I know it doesn't sound true, but it really works for me.
