What and where is a software licence?

I have to know...where is a software licence and what it it...it would be helpful to know ASAP because I need it for a program...

When you buy a program you get a software license key sent to your email so you can activate the program and not just have a trial version.

To get a keygen is illegal.

You need to buy it to get a license key.

When you purchase the software, the manufacturer licenses you to use it....this is a theoretical license, not something you'd carry with you, like your drivers' license. If you don't already have it, you will most likely have to purchase the software, in order to get it.
