I ask this because, I look at myself and see a guy with a lobing girlfriend of 3 years with me, yet I see other women, and I wish I could get in their pants. I've made the mistake of cheating once and hope that it never happens again, yet I wonder why this urge still lies within me.

Familiarity breeds contempt. Also, we get tied of the taste of the one we're with. Actually, we have to learn how to create our love of the other every day and that brings intimacy and excitement, really.

I think the desire is natural. What sets the good apart from the bad is the ability to control those desires. There are a lot of very attractive people out there. I cant imagine it is even possible for us to suddenly become blind to that fact just by virtue of being in a relationship.

Cheating gives a sense of adventure and experiences. You need to strike up a new sex drive with you partner. Do something different to keep the relationship juicy. That way you wont get bored with who you're with.

it happens because you are human. this is not uncommon and there is nothing wrong with it unless you act on it.
if these thoughts become more intense and the urge is stronger then you should rethink being in a relationship.

People are never happy w/ just one thing these days. Thats why marriages dont last, people cheat, and everybody just look at it like its no big deal. Itll probably never end.

It is because people these days are never satisfied. My mom always says "Why do they need to invent a sidekick 2 if there is already a sidekick?" Or mayb we always look to improve our situation, or try to at least.

Seriously, everyone has urges. But you need to learn how to control your urges. Not everyone that has that kind of urge go out and cheat on their lover.
