All things in moderation.

I lump ketch-up in the same category as candy, though, honestly. Most ketch-up is made with corn syrup, which rots your teeth and other parts of your body.

Plus, it's highly acidic, so it's not that great in our modern society where everyone is taking antacids like it's nothing.

One plus is it DOES have tomatoes in it, which do count as a veggie, but I wouldn't count ketch-up as a veggie because the sugar drowns it out. Sort of like how fruit chews made with 3% fruit juice don't really count as fruit.

Regular Ketchup is bad because of the high sugar and fructose, but if you buy Heinz 1 carb, it is so much better and taste just as good with no sugar or corn syrup.

Mustard is great for you, nothing bad about it!

ketchup is not "bad" for you, but it is loaded with sugar, so not good for anyone trying to lose weight. Mustard is low carb, and has little to no sugar.

ketchup is one of the worst sauces out there - its loaded with sugar and chemicals. but if you are eating fries then...you really need to work on your diet.
