Never too soon, if you do it fast, you can explain that you were told the job would be different than what it was but you gave it a go. If you wait too long, that excuse kinda looks funny... it wasn't what they said but it took me forever to do something? You already can show stability with your last job so don't worry.
I'd make a move now, no point being unhappy!

Try going back to your former job of 5 years if you liked it and left on good terms; they may have a place for you.
If you really don't care for it go ahead and put your resume out there to find some bites if you get interviews than just explain that the position wasn't what you thought so you would like to go back to the area and then tell them the great points of whatever the position you are interviewing for had on the job posting which made you like the position.
You will find something but hang in at the position until you get something new; it won't be forever.

No, it is not too quickly. yet... take it sluggish and picture why do yo want to alter. locate the genuine matters with the present job. particular, earnings that's a controversy, yet often it extra handy to get this as an excuse. Like "My boss is a bad guy and, by using fact the earnings is small, i'm leaving". So, the reason being in actuality your boss. keep this in strategies, to no longer be waiting to settle for a job with an greater earnings yet with an identical boss. After 4 months you would be lookin returned for job.

the only way that you will learn what you like to do is if you try it out, right. well, you tried it and it seems to me that you didn't like it. when you go for the next job tell them you don't like to do the billing part of the job. tell them that you don't like the fact that your boss just dropped this other part of the job on you that you don't care for and that you would like to know everything about the position that you are going for. even what could be added on to your job as you continue to work there.

I would start putting my resume out, while statying at this job. If you get a reply and they ask you about your short sting, just say it was not challenging enough for you. They will hopefully take into account your long term position and probably not worry about it.

Go job hunting when you are not at work. If you find a better job then go there. Don't waste your life away at a job you do not like.
