1 John 2:15-16

cuss there r no marriages in heaven....

15. Love not the world, neither the things THAT are in the world. IF an man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16. For all that is in the world the lust of the FLESH, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

So basicly in my eyes God is saying to desire the flesh in heaven, notice the world. God created the heaven and the earth. So the love of the father will be with your marrage if you desire heaven with her. Is this one of the parables Jesus spoke about? I read this over and over I see you can have a wife in heaven, but I must earn the love of the father.

The term "the world" in this context refers to mankind that is alienated from God. We should not love the debased, hedonistic values and lifestyle that this world encourages. If we do, we cannot be loving God who warns us against such things.

This is not a parable. A parable is a story (fictional or non-fictional) that is told to make a point. The dictionary definition is: "a short allegorical story designed to illustrate or teach some truth, religious principle, or moral lesson."

There is no flesh in heaven. I don't know where you get this idea. In fact, as far as being married in heaven goes, Matthew 22:29, 30 says: "In reply Jesus said to them: “YOU are mistaken, because YOU know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God; for in the resurrection neither do men marry nor are women given in marriage, but are as angels in heaven."

Actually it means to detach yourself spiritually, mentally and emotionally from the physical plane, since that is not our true reality. Keep your mind on heavenly things and God will take care of earthly things sums it up as well. When you realize that God and humans are all Spirit, then the physical world loses its hold on your life and your viewpoint, and you care not for the happenings of the material world, since in the end of the grand scheme of things, it's the spirit world that matters, and not the physical.

And no, there is no marriage in heaven, for in heaven we are not given in marriage like men and women, but are like angels. In other words, male and female are unified in heaven, our spirits are androgynous, we are married to God through Spirit, as He is the bridegroom, and his human children, the bride, and this becomes unified when you attain heaven/enlightenment either on earth while still in physical life, or for those that don't, in death after physical life, when we go back to our real life with God.

Interpret the passage literally. Do not put words in the text which are not there.

The world: all that is hostile toward God and alienated from him. Love of the world and love of God are thus mutually exclusive; cf James 4:4.

Peace and blessings!

well one way to reach spirituality is to take some drugs that make you high. hey if people can detach themselves from the world that we live in totally then i say they are dead. we live in a material world because thats how we function as an organism. i like the world i live in at the moment, i see a car speeding towards me i move out, you can detach yourself from the flesh and left yourself get hit.
