Let it go for now, but if he does it more you should tell him it offends you.

You don't say how long ago it was that this happened. If it was today - or yesterday even - then I'd recommend that you confront him. Say something like: "I heard you refer to me as "My little admin" yesterday and I must let you know that I found the remark offensive. I'd appreciate it if you would not make such remarks about me in the future. " I would not let him explain or anything - just turn and leave. I can almost guarantee you that it will not happen again. FURTHER, I would tell your personnel director what happened and how you addressed the offense - just to get it on the record. Then - just get back to work and let it go - unless something else happens. If anything else happens go directly to the personnel director or if you don't have such, to the owner of the company. You'll feel (and BE) empowered by making a stand promptly when such unacceptable behavior takes place.

Let it go this once. However DO NOT take any demeaning treatment from him at all. If you are like me, you don't care to cause trouble. However, I would write down the date and time that this happened. If any of this type of thing continues continue writing them down. That way you will have a record if you have to request a transfer. Personnel cannot turn you down if you have proof. He may be the type of jerk who feels more important if he puts people down. I doubt that you being larger has anything to do with it. The "little admin" was meant to diminish what you do not who you are. He was still being a jerk though.

If your boss is referring to you as his "little admin," you should talk with him and let him know that you are offended by his choice of words and you should suggest that he refers to you by your name. If he has a problem with respecting your wishes, you should make this known to his supervisor. But, don't do it right after you converse with him for the first time. Do it after you have warned him about it several times. Be sure to make note of the date and time in which you conversed with your supervisor about this situation.

If the comment made you feel un-comfortable, then let him know. If he continues to make the same comment, then you have the right to file a formal complaint with the HR department of the company. If he's the boss/owner QUIT! You can do better

I say let it go, but I'm not the one that was offended. If you think it is something you could get passed then ignore it and remember what goes around comes around.
If not, than I'll hold the door open for you in the HR office.

If it was just the one occasion, do nothing (anyone can make a mistake, especially with divided attention). But if he repeats it, be ready with a comment that lets him know he must respect you. For example, say clearly and firmly "I am not little". If you think you can manage sarcasm and wit, then ok, but unless you do it really well you may only set up further antagonism.

If you don't say anything, you are basically condoning it. I would go to his office and say (in a NON CONFRONTATIONAL way):
I overheard your comment yesterday and it was bothered and offended by it. Comments about my weight are really not appropriate in the workplace and out of respect for myself, I felt like I needed to at least let you know how I feel.
Leave it at that. You will feel better and he (hopefully) will learn to keep comments to himself.

If he has any kind of a sense of humour, next time he uses an expression like that why not respond with "well, as you of all people know sir, size isn't everything!"
