First off back in 2002 i was in the Marine Corps and i was diagnosed with a left femoral neck stress fracture involving 50% of the compressive side. elected not to do no surgery with 6 months on crutches and physical therapy. pain started in oct 2001 they said it was bursitus. pain didnt subside with anti-inflammatory and finally diagnosed with the stress fx. in march 2002 with an mri. two weeks ago all of a sudden for no reason my hip/femur felt like it was being pulled out and ready to snap. if im on it all day it hurts like that when i stop. but now i have a limp and pain radiates down my leg to my feet sometimes it aches and sometimes it feels numb. when i lay down to sleep i get this horrible numbing pain that i cant stop. this will last about 45 seconds every 10-15 mins. ct scan ruled out sciatica. and an mri eval at my hip and femoral neck ruled out the usual...stress fx,avn(which is what i thought it was)im 24 yrs old but dont feel like it. doc said pulled ligaments.

you need to go to the VA hosp and tell them, and ask if you can see a neurologist, they will want to put needles with wires on them in your leg. when they do this you will want to kill the Dr, i know you can handle it you're a marine. i had my left leg crushed when i was in AF, i have nerve damage and i hurt everyday. your symptoms sound a lot like mine. i hope they can help you.

This is a challenging problem, indeed. I can only make suggestions out of my own experience, so I would say ask about fibromyalgia. There are other illnesses that don't need an injury to make an area of the body feel like it has been injured. Even when it's in an area that has been injured previously. No matter what is wrong, keep pursuing a diagnosis with you medical provider.

Some thing that helps me is medical magnets. Lots of people will tell you they are just one more way for people to make money. No, they work, especially on pain. They don't help everyone, though. So start small, The best ones are made by Nikken Magnets, but they are a bit expensive. The magnets they sell that are the size of a credit card are around $25. You'll have to look around for them. There is another brand that is cheaper, called TheraP. They are found in pharmacies and stores like K-Mart. Though not as effective as the Nikken Magnets, they do work. A box with several types of magnets costs around $50. They do not work instantly, It takes an hour or two to feel some difference, and they only work while they are on your body. They are worth a try. I hope you will do well.

First of all it sounds like you need to try out a different doctor. I have multiple herniated discs, and I feel that kind of pain all the time down my leg. Mine is from a pinched nerve but yours could be something similar. I had a doctor who kept hemming and hawwing until I finally decided to take the action into my own hands. The first thing you need to do is go to an orthapedic surgeon. I know that you elected not to do surgery, and they wont if you dont want them to, but they can diagnose better than any doctor out there when it comes to the spinal structure. They will probably do a lot of testing which will hurt, but get through it somehow, and you will find out what is really going on. But seriously it sounds like you may have a pinched nerve somewhere that is going down your leg.

Fibromyalgia, often referred to as fibrositis or fibromyositis, refers to a sickness of unknown reason that's characterised by way of recurrent affliction within the joints, muscle groups, or tendons. Often small, exact places known as "cause facets" are smooth to the contact. Physical stress and bloodless or damp climate could make the sickness worse. Frequently, the affliction is related to different signs, equivalent to insomnia, fatigue, or anxiousness. Laboratory exams are more commonly ordinary. There are a couple of medication: bodily medication, hot or bloodless compresses, anti inflammatory remedy, and often an anesthetic or cortisone injected straight into the cause facets. The signs can wax and wane over a long time. I wish this is helping you. And well good fortune.
