Well I went for a job interview on Thursday the 24th. I called on Tuesday to find out if they had come to a conclusion. Then today Wednesday I emailed her a very nice email and her response was "Thanks for your persistence and email. I have others to consider but you are on the list."

What does that mean??? Should I give up ? I really want the job!!

Don't give up! Call them once every week. Anything more than that will get annoying but anything less and they might forget about you.

Good luck and if you don't get it keep trying other places.

You should back off esp. if she seemed a little annoyed. They know you are extremely interested so if I were you I would continue to look for something but allow some time to go by if you still haven't found anything and you are still interested call again one last time but wait a couple of weeks.

In the future if you are interested in a position towards the end of the interview when they ask you if you have anymore questions just tell them how interested you are in the position. Also, you could ask them if they see any reason that would prevent you from the position.

Saying they have others to consider could mean anything. Some companies have policies that require a certain number of interviews before anyone is hired. It could also be a 'polite' way of telling you to go away. That said, at this point I would be getting the impression you had nothing else to do except contact me. Desperation is not something I would be looking for in an employee.

It is good to be persistent but not a pain n the butt. They have complemented you on your persistence and they told you what you need to know. Don't sweat it and go for another position. Maybe you could two orders to consider.

Good Luck and give them a call at the end of next week.

She used the word persistance? It sounds like you annoyed her. I certainly would not contact her again, but it sounds like you closed the door on that job. You only gave her 24 hours, Friday, as Monday was a holiday. It was rude to call daily.

Hang in there. Interviews take time. Give her a week. And then make your inquiry again. Keep a copy of your resume. Better if you see them in person.

You have let them know twice that you are still interested. Anymore, might be too much. I wouldn't contact them anymore.
