First, rule is both lanes must stop for school bus loading or unloading. Anyway if bus was honking it was probably so you would slow down so they coould get your plates and call you in. If caught it is considered a moving violation similar to that of an improper lane change, i.e. points and fines. Hope this helps

Violation of the NJ "Stop Arm" law, straight from the NJ Judiciary Department:
"Any person who shall violate any provision of this act shall be subject to (1) a fine of not less than $100.00, (2) imprisonment for not more than 15 days or community service for 15 days in such form and on such terms as the court shall deem appropriate, (3) or both for the first offense, and a fine not less than $250.00, imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both for each subsequent offense. The penalties shall be enforced and recovered pursuant to the provisions of chapter 5 of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes. There shall be a rebuttable presumption that the registered owner of the vehicle which was involved in the violation of
this section was the person who committed the act."
IMHO, that's being soft on Stop Arm violators. If I were the judge, I'd yank your ticket for a year if I could.
A camera is not necessary. If the driver has the tag number and the color of the vehicle a summons can be issued. Make and model is handy, but not necessary. Nor is a description of the driver. Note the presumption that the registered owner is presumed to be the violator, by the way! Probably the only way for the owner to dodge the conviction would be to hand over the guilty party.

If it was up to me you would lose your licenses 4ever and go to jail how would you feel if you had hit a kid and injured or killed them guess you would be worried about the fine. you always hear about an idiot passing a buss with there flashing lights on and killing a child happened here a couple of years ago and the person driving the car will be a very very old person when they get out of prison but the children will still be dead and the person driving will have to deal with the thought the he is responsible for taking a child's life because he was in a hurry trying to save a few seconds those lights mean stop so do yourself a favor and the children a favor and the children's parents and family and community a favor stop for buses or quit driving your car. A child's life is worth more that saving a few seconds. If I seen it I'd write down you lic. number and report you just like any decent person and all responsible parent' should and would. SO GROW UP AND SLOW DOWN AND STOP FOR THE BUSES. IT MIGHT SAVE SOMEONES LIFE INCLUDING YOURS
