It has also been said that what one thinks about the most s/he begins to move towards it, until s/he becomes it. I believe this to be true.
With regards to the global application at this time ... I don't think the globe is headed in a positive direction.

It sound's to me like you think if this world where to become what we thought it to be, we'd be in for some rough times. Well take a look at the world around you. Humanity is on the brink of it's own demise and most people always find a way to conviently ignore it. If you aggree with the statement and believe that we become what we think then I ask you to anaylize this...
As humans we have been endowed with certain intellectual factors, one being our imagination. This is what seperates us from the rest of the animal kingdom. As humans we think 24/7. We Ponder what we'll do through the day and when we go to sleep we dream. Human thought is perpetual.
You ask "If" applied... How would this application occour?
The way I see it, any state humanity finds itself in be it last year, today, or a decade from now is due to the manifestation of our collective "thought". The saying that "A man will become what he thinks" attempts to challange the individual mind into finding soulutions to the problems which he currently has. Your question asks if this statement where applied on a global scale would the outcome be positive? I ask you this... What makes you think it hasn't already applied?
That statemant already applies. That statemant applied since the begining of time and will continue to apply untill we evolve past that state of awareness or destroy ourselves. Why do you think the world is the way it is now? Is just coincidence that AIDS has become know as the next "epidemic" when all you see on television are images exploiting sexuality? How many of you out there recycle? How many carpool? Is it no wonder that the once ridiculed idea of Global Warming has become a frightening reality? It's a fundamental concept really.
So now I hope you have a better understanding of the truth you've sought. Everyone asks questions for a reason and when you find the answer it would be wise to ask yourself, "Why did I want to know this?" What diffrence does it make now?" I hope I've helped you in createing this diffrence. Remember "Seek and you shall find" (Matthew 7:7-8) And as for the quote which created this response the actual words go, "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”, and that was Proverbs 23:7. = )

Many years ago a question started burrowing into what I laughingly refer to as my 'mind', I had no idea where it came from ( actually I know, now, exactly where ), and it drove me nuts for a while .... well ... slightly more nuts than usual. The question was :
"Does thinking it so, make it so ?"
Now, all these years later I know that the question is actually an oxymoron, the truth is that without thinking it so, nothing would be so.
We do, indeed, and literally, 'create' our world by the very thoughts that we have about it.
I am working as hard as I can at the energetic level to help bring about sufficient of us who can 'see' that this is true, and when such a 'critical mass' of human thought can be applied to the world level, then, I am quite sure, we will indeed, as the Mahatma said, be the change that we wish to see.
Someone said the the Jesus words were borrowed ( or words to that effect ) from the Buddha, I would rather think that these two men ( note : men, not 'Gods' ) were equally highly enlightened 'Masters', and, as such, would have been essentially teaching roughly the same message.
Let's hope that enough people begin to 'real'-ise the truth of this statement, and soon.

We kind of have our own rooms, and then did a few together. He's got the loft and the recroom. Living room and Bedroom we did together (bought new stuff, picked out together) And I get the kitchen/bathrooms. Luckily, unless he really hates something - he doesnt care what I do, we've got simmilar taste - but I've got more of an eye for what would look good. If you'd rather keep your stuff, and do rooms all together - make lists of what you would like in each room. For instance, maybe his couches will go in the living room, but your coffee table and end tables etc. And, if you arent buying a home together yet and you're renting - or plan on upgrading your housing in the next while you could always put anything you really like, into storage until you do have room.

There are many statements made by Great persons which substantiate this.
1) 'Every great revolution was at first a private opinion' (a thought)
2) Watch your thoughts, they become your words...
.. Watch your words, they become your action...
.. Watch your actions, they become your habits...
... Watch your habits, they become your Character
... Watch your character, they become your DESTINY... !
And so on....
Basically, we should try to experience , and then accept that THOUGHTS TOO ARE PHYSICAL. It is subtle, that is why we do not seem to feel it, but ask any teenage girl, without turning back she can 'sense' that somebody is 'staring' at her back, her neck etc... !
When we create a powerful thought, it snowballs and materialises ... if this thought is caught-up by more people, and if they add their thought to it ( without any one negating it), then it materialises much faster, like a heavily-petrol-soaked place catching fire instantly with just an innocent spark !

if it's in the bible, it was plagiarized from Buddha......
The thought manifests as the word;
The word manifests as the deed;
The deed develops into habit;
And habit hardens into character;
So watch the thought and its ways with care,
And let is spring from love
Born out of concern for all beings…
As the shadow follows the body,
As we think, so we become.

Luck has a bigger role in people's life then they care to admit, especially if their life is relatively good. It's human nature to think that high degrees of skill is involved in success. But i find it laughable that so many people think they have all this control over their lives and the world.

I often hear in the Sunday Masses this phrase, "Receive what you are, become what you receive."
