to me if the big bang and the expantion of the universe was the action and reaction the the opposite action and reaction would be a big crunch and the sucking in of the universe back to what it started out as.

Once you interpret the each "day" of creation in Genesis as being millions of years long rather then 24 hours long, everything falls into place. It makes sense, since the sun was not created until the second or third day anyway.

I don't believe that something can come from nothing, I don't believe that life can come from non-life, and I believe that there has to be a reaction for every action. All of these things can not be known for sure, the only thing that makes sense to me is that even if the Big Bang is where the universe started, something had to superheat that little mass so that it would explode. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

Does is bother you that the Big Bang was first brought up by a Belgian priest?

The Bible just says that God created the universe, the heavens, and earth. Once again, it never said how he did it. Evolution is just a theory. It's not scientific law as of yet because there are even problems with the theory of evolution. Fossil evidence is shaky in a lot of instances. It doesn't explain how one species has mastered language and passing down information to its offspring to build upon. The Big Bang theory is just that a theory as well. When you have insurmountable evidence then a theory becomes scientific law, like our laws of gravity and magnetism. So, you don't need the Bible to tell you someone was behind creating all that we see in our universe. The Bible just specifically names whose responsible for creating this universe.

I don't rationalize it. I simply trust God.

Technically I might not be considered a creationist, since I don't advocate teaching creationism and have not excluded evolution as one of the tools God used in the creation.

It really has no effect on my faith if another person believes or disbelieves. You have access to the scriptures as much as I do. You are free to choose whether to accept them as truth or not. I accept them as truth.

Does that mean I believe God created the earth and everything in it in a week of our time? Not necessarily. From God's perspective it took a week, but remember God has no beginning and no end. So his week could very well have taken ten billion years.

Since you have so many answers and ask such clever questions, let me pose one for you: What is infinity? And what, if anything, lies beyond the boundaries of this universe?

God makes no effort to explain these to me, nor do I worry about them. That, in part, is what I mean when I say I trust God.

Bears fan: "simple the wonderful laws of physics. if the big bang was the reaction wheres the equal and opposite reaction"

You sound pretty smart! Now I know I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, so bear with me here. Wouldn't the "big bang" have been the action and the "expanding universe" the reaction?
Could you explain further for me? I've never studied physics.

Not all creationists believe any of the bible. Some of them believe that Something created the world, but probably not in the way that is outlined in the bible. Many have a completely different creation story (many old myths and legends have them), so are you only asking this of Christian Creationists?

I look around me at the world and see the marvelous structure of flowers, animals and humans. To me, they speak of intelligent design and NOT of random chance.
Do you know of anything that goes from dis-order to order? What I mean is, does anything left to it's own time and space get better? No, things tend to degenerate over time. One of the laws of physics is that things slow down and devolve over time.
For me it makes no sense to think that from ameobas came lifeforms with legs and arms. Even given billions and billions of years, it makes no sense. Where are all the intermediate life forms? Shouldn't we see a fossil record that shows this gradual evolution? You won't find them because they do not exsit.
So I don't need the bible to argue for the hand of God in creation. It makes sense to me that due to the complex nature of our eyes, flowers, birds, and every created thing that an intelligent maker was involved in creating everything.

Christian Creationists don't rationalize their beliefs. They accept them by faith. The most important verse in Genesis is chapter one, verse one." In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." For the Christian, the Bible is our fundamental Book of Faith, so we have no other option but to say,"The Bible says so."

The problem you are having is that you are trying to rationalize creation with the mental ability of a human. God is not a human nor subjected to out rationalizations

OK, since I can't use the Bible.
I'd still pick Creationism because Science can't make up it's mind.
Every week, we've evolved from something new.
Creationism is the same yesterday, today and forever. (Had to throw a little Bible in there.)
