Is it worth going to this? Do you know if we get a lot of free things? Is the expo REALLY BIG? or just one room?

I've been to these Expos. Since I now live in the OC, I prefer going to the one at the Anaheim Convention Center. However, the one in LA is big. About 20,000 people attend. It's in one room (you do have seminars in some meeting rooms), but it's South Hall, which is a BIG ROOM. Like the size of a football field. There are lots of vendors, who give away little trinkets (pens, refrigerator magnets, tiny foam balls, etc). Their primary purpose is to inform you of their travel opportunities, so they'll sell travel and make money. There is also some entertainment, as well.

If you go, print out a BUNCH of labels with your name, address, phone number and email address. Use the labels to fill out registration forms, to win prizes. I've gotten some free lodging (although it usually comes with a sales pitch), and other goodies doing this.

Yes they give away lots of goodies, but most of them are of little or no value. But it is fun to go and see all the great vacation ideas you can think about.
