Anywhere IN New Orleans is going to be pricey--given it's a tourist town recovering from Katrina. Bottom line: it's EXPENSIVE to live there for a month.

My advice would be to check out hotels in neighboring Mandeville, Louisiana. One: room rates in Mandeville are reasonable, as compared to the tourist priced New Orleans hotel rooms.

Two: New Orleans is a 30 minute drive from Mandeville. Figure in a daily $3 to cross the Causeway bridge (longest in the world) and I think you'll fare off much better than staying IN New Orleans....surely saving HUNDREDS of $$$ this way.

Exercise:: Walk a minimum of half-hour day-to-day, do aerobic at night time earlier than you fall asleep. It is helping you sleep greater! If you are capable, become a member of a fitness center. Planet Fitness is $10 a month! Bike driving, strolling. Any style of cardio activity is helping. As for weight loss program, do not do the low carb nutrition. Your frame demands carbs for vigour. Without the vigour you can not figure out. Yeah you'll be able to lose the load, however you'll be able to reap all of it again. And as you're at the nutrition you'll be able to believe like crap! Try a low fats nutrition, however get the proper quantity of vitamins although. Your frame nonetheless demands protein, grains, manner, milk merchandise, end result and greens. You can discover all this and nonetheless lead a low fats nutrition. Such as baked chook, or grill your pork. Or the low fats lunch meats. Grains, pasta and bread aid plenty. Even a bagel. Special K is a well cereal as good. Try fats loose or decreased fats milk. I wish this is helping!=]

like Barry said the univeristy of New Orleans is good, as well as Tulane, and Loyola, all of english programs. as for housing. but however when you coming is not normal school times so it would be better to take a course at Delgado which is the local community college. you might want to think about coming for a whole semester school usually starts around aug. 15- 25 depending on the school and the first semester ends early to mid december.

back to the room thing look around the unviersities, loyola and tulane, they can sometimes have cheap rooms around, Craigslist.com and myspace.com and add the schools to your profile and check at the bottom of the schools page. i hope this is all making sense, if not email me
