If you are executing the seven curls correctly, then you should stick with it. Jumping from 10 to 20 pounds is a lot. Well, for me it was. You should try 3 sets of 7. If your arm is not extremely tired after that, you should go for one or two more sets. And if you cannot handle 3 sets of 7, go down to 1 or 2 sets. If not, go to 15 pounds.

Confusing isn't it?! @_@

Stick with the 20 pounds. Everyday use your new weights. You will get better and better with the 20 pounds. With practice, you will be able to do more than 7 curls.

Typically if you want to add size to your muscles you will do a heavier weight for fewer reps. If you are going for muscle shape and tone you would use a lighter weight for more reps.

So if you can only do 7 reps with the current weight you might want to lower the weight just a little bit until you can do at least three sets of 10. It's going to be different for each person but if you can only do one set of 7 repetitions you're going too heavy.

you can stick with the 20lbs for now.

you can try to do like 3 sets with each arm maybe sets of 8,6,5 or 10,8,6 ext. you can stick with this until you work your way up to 25's 30's ext. don't get discouraged tho building muscle and stregnth can take a while just stay positve and work out everyother day or whatever

also you can do tons of different types of workouts with dumbbells....you can do shrugs, hammer curls, and many other exercises you should search workouts with dumbells so that you can do as many diff workouts with what you are limited too in weights at this time..

goodluck
