What you describe definitely sounds like depression! I don't know if the meds and the counselor helped you, but if they didn't, try again. Sometimes you have to go through the wrong meds and some bad counselors before you hit upon the right ones!:)

I think that all humans have been in your position at one time or another.I think that nowday's more people are depressed, because of our world. Our world is full of evil, scandals, war, etc. It is not like it use to be in the old days.It is hard to trust anyone today,so everyone feels alone. In the old days people had friends, and family they could rely on.It is so sad that our society has came to this. The best advice I can give you is to not hate yourself! Find something you love about yourself and go with that, and always remember once you leave this earth there is joy on the other side. You have something to look forward to.Life on earth is not permanent.I wish you the best!

Start a hobby that you enjoy. If you don't exercise, now is the time to start. Light weight lifting and a little cardio can change the way you feel. Change your diet, (eliminate red meat and pork from your diet for awhile) see your dentist, (yes, bad teeth and decay have been linked to mental health). Click on all my sources for some useful info.

I agree with the first respondent.
It has to be something personal that occurred. Sure the world is a mess, but that is not what first drags you down and makes you vulnerable to being upset that the world is a mess.
How old are you and what happened 6 months ago?

Sweetheart.... most of your depression is in your mind. Try to not think about that cr*p... go and do something smart and fun... go do something that you love. You need to think your strong, smart and happy. If you think that then those things with come to you and open up. Try to go to school or find a date or something. Find some friends... Heck I would be your friend... and also talk about why you feel this but don't dwell on it otherwise you will be stuck in it.

Yes this has happened to me before. I know how it feels to loose yourself in a black hole of depression. Try to take up new interests. Buy some good books and find some hobbies. this may help you get stimulated again. I hope you feel better

I know exactly what you mean. I'm not the happy girl I used to be, either. I'm a loner, I hate myself. But we have to stay strong. Don't give up, you can get back to life how it was. There may be a few changes, but don't give up. I hope this helps, good luck, and GOD BLESS!!!

I hate myself everyday.
I'm a very depressed person for many different reasons and it has to do with other people who made me this way.
Having no friends
Having no one to talk to.
Being alone.
It's because people just don't care and once other people stop caring about you or me. Then you start to hate yourself and blame yourself because other people don't like you.
You are not looking at yourself in a good way you are looking at yourself in a bad way.

I know exactly what you mean, but mine has been going on for about 15 years. I hope you stay in counseling and get over this because depression is no life!

i can honestly say that I hate who I am and who I've become but I have absolutely no desire to change. Keep working with the therapist and the meds. both take time and need tweaking from time to time.
