My boyfriend and I are purchasing an engagement ring from and individual that is divorced. Since we bought it we have been fighting and I would like to get the ring blessed if it has bad karma. Does anyone know of how to do this? We do not have a priest to get this done.

You could set the ring in a bowl of salt. Salt is supposed to be cleansing. Not sure of your religious tendencies, but some religions you can light a candle, and focus on ridding the ring of negative energy, or a happy life for you and your fiance(e) for a minute or two, then let the candle burn to its end. You could get really crazy and let the ring sit in salt one day for every year of the relationship, but I think that's overkill.

Also, I don't think the ring has karma (it can't really affect life on its own), so more or less it just has negative energy. I've used salt to cleanse tarot cards before, and this has seemed to work well. The other thing you could do would be to take the ring to a synagogue or buddhist temple if there is one in your area: they would probably be willing to help you.

Are you Catholic? I am asking because you want to get it blessed by a priest. As far as i know (I was raised Catholic) you can take it to any priest and ask him to bless it.

The ring did not make or break the other people's marriage. However some things do need to be purified. Get the ring professional cleaned and then use sage to purify it. I was advised to do that after I rented out my house. The people who rented it had a bad relationship and I was not comfortable in it when I moved back it. Sage does purify.

If you are still not comfortable with the ring after this, then DO NOT wear an engagement ring. Sell this ring and either buy another or go without one. Get a new wedding ring or ask a close relative if you can use theirs for the wedding. The rings do not define your love. You and your boyfriend can overcome a ring.

Karma is a concept of cause and effect espoused in the Hindu, Jain, Sikh and Buddhist philosophies. Karma is the belief that "what goes around comes around," and that what you do, both good and bad, will come back to you eventually. First of all, I don't think thats the concept that you're trying to evoke. I think you're thinking of luck or superstition. Either way, priests are Christian, and the religion of Christianity does not include or support Karma (or luck or superstition), so you'll have a hard time trying to find a Christian priest to bless an object for the sake of a concept that his religion doesn't include or support. You can easily, however, ask your priest to bless the engagement ring for you, but it will be for the sake of God's sanctification, not for Karma, luck, superstition, etc. Just talk to your priest, and I'm sure he'll do it for you, as long as it is for the right religious reasons.

First of all, why didn't you get this from a jeweler? If the ring was used in your friend's wedding and she is divorced, it could signify what will be the outcome of your own marriage.

However, I really do not believe in this. If you want to do the right thing and get rid of the bad Carma, you need to wrap the ring in a silk black cloth and throw it away. It could have evil spirits attached, such as voodoo. Secondly, you should never try on a ring that is not yours. Admire it, but don't try it own. This will only bring you bad luck. Go to the jewelry store and purchase a new ring.

Look instead of blessing the ring you need to pray for your relationship. Don't use the ring as a cop out your arguing has nothing to do with the ring but everything to do with how your handling this relationship. Before you do anything check yourself before the karma of life check you.

In the name of Jesus, I command that any evil that was brought upon this ring be vanished forever. Repeat...

You may pray any blessings of your own over this ring. You do not need a Priest. Just open your heart and the words will pour out.

Won't work unless you believe it though. Good Luck

Seriously, you sound like a Catholic! Anyway, an old Catholic woman told me to get some oil--any kind--ask God to bless it and use it to make the sign of the cross on my house windows and doors.

Sure, my husband and I are not together anymore; however, the house is just fine. I guess God knew I was better off without him and removed him from the house I had blessed.

Bad carma or the golden rule { Do not do unto others, what you do not want they do to you}. Stop fighting. Ask each other for forgivness and think deeply about is you about the fighting, no the ring. fighting starts in ower soul.
Love and respect one another. Husband and wife. May the Lord Jesus bless your marriage.

I don't think priests worry about karma. Your ring is not the cause of your fights. Maybe you should try premarital counseling. You are probably both stressed and overwhelmed.

Karma doesn't transfer with physical objects. Also Catholic priests don't really recognize Hindu or Buddhist beliefs.
