Let's clear up one thing - Westboro Baptist is as far removed from scriptural accuracy as I am from being a rocket scientist. From all I know of scripture, they actually are in sinful talk and behavior. They don't imitate Christ, at all. They spew hate and take verses way out of context in order to attempt justification for their sin.
The scripture is clear that Jesus died for all. Yet, all do not accept. Those who accept are what we translate as "the elect". There is not one shred of evidence that shows Jesus dying for a select group of people.
If He were to, would it not be the people Israel? Then, it might make sense that He came for "the Jew first". But, after that, it says, "and also the Gentile". It says in Isaiah that He "exalted every valley and made the rough places plain", which is one way to say He leveled the playing field - He made a way for all to come to know God. It is also clear in John 3:16 that "God so loved the WORLD..."
Don't give anyone any attention who speaks contrary to scripture or the example of Christ. They are false prophets, at best.

I think Calvinism is false. I think there are some elements that have some truth and value but I wouldnt come to the conclusions that the 5 points do incuding Jesus hating anyone. Jesus said that God so loved the world. If Jesus and the Father are truly one, then Jesus so loved the world also.

An external God is an imaginary friend for adults and another boogey man for children.
"In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God, He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it."
We live in a story God created to pass eternity. God is a fantasy writer! As characters in God's story we are part of god in a holographic way where each part contains the whole because the whole contains each part. Why do bad things happen to good people? It advances the plot. Why does science make new discoveries all the time? To fill in the holes in the internal logic of the story. Time? Just a way to keep the "pages" in order.
If God hates anything it's bad prose.

It does not matter what this "church", or that "church" states or proclaims; ALL that matters is what is plainly declared in the Word of God.
The following few examples will serve to answer your query:
Psalm 5:5 ... thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
Psalm 11:5 ... the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
Proverbs 6:16-19
These six things doth the LORD hate:
yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
A proud look,
a lying tongue, and
hands that shed innocent blood,
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,
feet that be swift in running to mischief,
A false witness that speaketh lies,
and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Isaiah 63:3 ... I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.
Psalm 7:11... God is angry with the wicked every day.
Yours sincerely,
Philip Livingstone

God hates evil. God hates sin. God loves people.
I can hate something. I can hate sin.
I can fear something. I can fear God.
God has mercy and judgement.
It is I who chooses which 'hand' He reaches out to me with.
God is perfect. Since no one can be perfect, "God sent His Son into the world so that all who believe in Him will not perish but have everlasting life." It is I who make the choice whether to accept Jesus or not. If I accept Him then I can say it "is no longer I that live but Christ who lives in me and gave His life for me." I can say that "I am the righteousness of God in Christ." I can be what I couldn't be on my own. I couldn't be perfect. God made a way for me. Unless I am perfect I could not stand before a perfect God. Because of Jesus Christ I can stand before God. How Can Anyone Neglect So Great Salvation?

God permits you to hate whomever you wish. He gives Himself the same privilege. Isn't that fair?
However, God is love. He loves what is good. This means He hates whatever is evil. His hatred of sin leads Him to save the sinner. We have all sinned and are worthy of punishment. Fortunately, because God is love, He has found a way to get us out of the punishment. He sent His Son Jesus to suffer and die in our place. Now we may confess our sins to God and He will forgive and welcome us into His family.
God hates sin. But He still loves people. This is shown in His forgiveness and willingness to bring us into a world of goodness and blessing when Jesus comes again.

God doesn't hate people. He died for all potential Believers no matter what land they were in, no matter what background they were from, no matter who they formerly were...Acts 10:34-35. God hates sin not people

I don't think I would want to worship a god like that. But then, this is one more example of the advantages of polytheism. If you have a god that hates, you can also have plenty of gods and goddesses that love. And even a few that are completely indifferent to humans.

Apparently he does, since so many people seem to believe that they "know" the mind of God and tell everyone else who he hates.
