Here are a few:

People who say "the Bible has no contradictions" have either never read it, or just have a knack for rationalizing things away. You can rationalize away ANY two clearly contradictory statements if you ramble and stretch definitions enough.

That question would require a REALLY long answer! The short version of it is:

The old testament and the new testament seem to have alot of contradictions in them, but those that feel that way forget that Jesus was the end of the Law (for Jews of Israel only), and most of the things they see as contradictions in the old testament are done away with since Jesus died for not only the Jews, but the Gentiles as well, and people are not saved any longer via the Law, but rather faith.

Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth"

contradiction
Genesis 1:2 'and the earth was without form and void"

Can't create something without form and that is void.

He creates Adam and Eve as the first humans, then tells them to go and REplenish the earth?? How do you replenish something that was never plenished in the first place?

That's just one of so very many. the infidels.org link has amassed them into one page.. take a look.. the bible is rife with them.

Start at the beginning. The order of creation described in the first creation story (Genesis 1) does not match the order of creation described in the second creation story (Genesis 2:4-25). In the first it is plants, animals man/woman while in the second it is man, plants, animals, woman.

Or take the beginning of the NT. Matthew's genealogy (Matthew 1:1-17) does not match Luke's (Luke 3:23-38).

Of course, both can be explained if you accept that the bible is not meant to be taken literally - that the words which are written must be added to or subtracted from or rearranged or changed before they make sense.

Its hard in today's age to find legit and straight answers to this question. You will be the one only who finds that honest answer and the best way to do so is to pray. Faith is a very, VERY, powerful and influential mind set, that can be invisible to everyone but yourself and the Lord, all I can say, believe in the bible, believe in the Lord. The answers will come to you.

If you seriously want to research that, you need to go to a library or Christian bookstore and start reading. Josh MacDowell (sp?) is a good place to start as he has written several very good books. I'm glad you are seeking...
