working out the back with pull ups...
Wide gripe and pulling up so the bar is behind your neck so it's a behind-the-neck pull-up.

Pull-ups work primarily your Lats (wings aka Latissimus Dorsi)... depending upon your grip width you can work out the arms more (narrow grip) or lats (wider grip).

Push-ups work the pecs, tri-ceps and deltoids... it depends on the distance between your hands.

Dips work the triceps and pecs... also it depend upon how you position your body.

Bodybuilders tend to divide shoulder work into exercises that stress the front, side and rear deltoid (shoulder) muscles. Pushups, especially done with feet elevated on a stable chair or bench and hands on the floor, will stress the front delts (and upper chest), and pullups will help with the rear delts as well as your latissimus dorsi (large back muscles on either side). You can also do front and lateral (side) raises with dumbells and bent-over rows with dumbells or a straight bar for rear delts. Dips are good for your front delts to some extent, but are mainly stressing your triceps and pectorals (chest). For the back, particularly the upper middle back (trapezius), I would do shrugs; this will also help your shoulders. If you have a strong lower back and knees, good form and a weightlifting belt, you could do deadlifts for back strength and thickness. Just remember to stretch before and after exercise, keep your musculature well balanced and don't overdo it to impress the ladies. ( It'll work but you may pay for it later. I learned the hard way ; ) )

Push ups primarily work your pectoral muscles (chest) and secondarily work you arms (biceps and triceps) Dips work your chest and triceps (if you lean forward) Leaning back you will work your back slightly more. Pull ups work your biceps and back (this is a great exercise).
