I'm flying 2 New York 2morrow 4 only1 day, so I only want a carry-on. Can I take shampoo, face wash, bottled H2O if it's not open, a PBJ to eat on the plane, tweezers, lotion? Midwest Express.

Only in smaller than 3 oz containers for the toiletries. And no to the PBJ. I called the TSA and asked that very question.

You can take food but not the water (doesn't matter if it's open or not). Also any liquid needs to be in a 3oz container or smaller, and all of them need to fit into a plastic bag. A 3oz container is pretty small, and if you try to bring something larger on, it will just be thrown away.
