Welcome to the wonderful world of internet dating. Where the imaginations run supreme. If you are into internet dating you have as many as four or five dates on a weekend even thought you may be in a relationship with another. And oh, by the way how did you find out he was on this "so called" dating site? Are you sure he just wasn't trying to chat up his old friends?

You could expect whatever makes you feel good about it, but this has nothing to do with the reality that you'd never knew.. they may be still using the same site under other names, or easily deleted in that one and signed up in another.
The question is would you ever trust seeing him infront of a computer?!

It seems to be on the same principles as.....if you met in a pub, would you still expect to see other people when you start to see someone new. If you've only been talking over the web well it's no rules all round.

Time is irrelevant, it means different things to different people. Once you are serious about the guy, talk to him and confirm that you aren't seeing other people. Offer to cancel your membership on the dating site, and ask him to do the same.

Dating doesn't have much to do with his getting off such a site to me. It would, however, be appropriate for them to get off as soon as a serious relationship developed.
