Hi have a flight out of long beach at 8:40 tomm morning. I'm in downtown and its usually about 30 min. non-rush. Should I expect morning rush @ 7-7:30 AM to add significant time? Thanks!

If it were me, I would avoid rush hour all together and leave early around 6am. That would get you to there in plenty of time and stress free. At that time of the morning on the 710 it can backed up for miles, especialy if someone breaks down or there is an accident. I would allow 1.5 hours minimum, that is if you want to catch your flight. Go early, check in and have some breakfast, read the paper or go online rather than sit in rush hour traffic and worry about getting to the airport in time.

Yes, the 710 from downtown to Long Beach has a significant rush hour in the AM as would the transition form the 710 to the 405. I'd add at least a half hour. Id' leave no later than 6:45 for a 8:40 departure.

I agree with the 2nd guy BTW the airport has a great coffee shop on the 2nd floor. I go there early just to eat sometimes.

"diving"??????? There is no water between LA & Long Beach. How about "driving" a car?
