If your a Christian you believe every word of the Bible speaks to everyone in every place and time and that the word is the word of God.
When the Bible has versus like..... (Leviticus 20:13--'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads. Rom. 1:26-27, 1 Tim. 1:10, 2 Peter 2:4-6, or Deut. 22:5 - cross-dressing is also considered an abomination before God. )
How do you say its not condenmed.
Theres evidence that alcolism, nymphomania, pedophilia, and psychosis are partly do to genetics, but that doesn't mean God approves of this behavior.
I'm not calling anyone hypocrites, but I never understood the position that homosexual acts (not temtations) are not sinful.

You can be a Christian OR you can be a homosexual. You can not be a Christian homosexual that is an oxymoron.

First of all, I want to point out that I'm a straight, married Christian. But honey ... you can't logically compare consentual homosexuality to things like nymphomania and pedophilia. Pedophilia always involves harming someone else -- as children can't legally, emotionally, or intellectually consent to sex and always suffer because of it -- and nymphomania usually leads to harming someone else -- because a lack of control over sexual desire can result in rape or sexual harrassment. Consentual homosexuality between adults doesn't harm anyone.
There is so much more to life and being a Christian than worrying about what goes on in someone else's bedroom. If a Christian is involved in a homosexual relationship, that is between them and God. And like I have always said, NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO MANDATE SOMEONE ELSE'S RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.
We all sin, every single one of us. There are certain things that we all struggle with. If we could, by our own actions, be holy enough to get into Heaven, the sacrifice that Christ made wouldn't have been necessary. Jesus tells us to judge our own lives, not the lives of others. Its not our place to call someone else a hypocrite or a fool. None of us live a perfect life.

Well, uh, if you truly believe the words of the bible, then you should be able to stone your children when they are disobedient, the sun revolves around the earth, and everything (including dinosaurs!) were created in 6 24 hour days. By the looks of your avatar, you appear to be female. Now then, the bible also says when you are on your period you should live outside the house and the husband should burn everything you touch.
You don't follow those rules, so who are you to pick and choose what or what not to follow?

Hate to break it to you but I think that the vast majority of people that call themselves Christian in The United States (and this is definetly true in Europe) do not believe every word of the Bible to be literal truth. I know a lot of christians that believe that our planet is more than 6,000 years old.
So your question departs from a mistaken assumption not all christians are fundamentalist christians.

Don't focus so much on what other people do wrong. God (if he or she really exists) is going to judge for himself. Why argue with someone about it? Let God decide who has lived a sinful life. If you really are a good Christian, you will stop trying to point out reasons why other people are not good Christians or are "sinners." If homosexuals want to embrace Christianity, let them. Just worry about your own relationship with God.

Your theory of morality might make you suspect one element and mine consistent with hazard something thoroughly distinctive. simply by fact 2 human beings disagreeing on something does not provide you the authority to label them insane or immoral. you're doing the right comparable element you accuse Christians of doing. do no longer you think of your brainwashing is hurting others psychological wellbeing additionally. the two facets might desire to provide up using hurty words. To the concern, I agree Christians might desire to enable God to handle homosexuality in his stable time. Homosexuals already understand the Christian and God's place on the concern. Godspeed.

Alcoholism, pedophilia, nymphomania are psychological pathologies, being lesbian, gay or bi is NOT a psychological problem, nor is it in the DSM-IV as such, so drop it already. This is an argument you can't logically win.

Saying homosexuality is wrong is like saying having blue eyes is wrong. It's not something they control. It's not new either, people have been gay/bi for thousands of years.

Maybe you should let your god be the judge and in the meantime leave people alone?
