Yes it is!!! They focus too much on mary, mary didn't die for your sins!!! I find it hard to believe that they believe their pagan rituals are right and can get them into heaven. The very bible they believe in condemns many of their practices, which is why the stereotype that catholics don't read the bible is alive today. Catholics!!!!, Jesus said, I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE.

There are many Rites, Ritual, Holy Days..etc. that were "borrowed" from the other Religions of the time-Much of Ceremonial Magic is identical with Catholic Rites.

Jesus was more oriented toward doing Good Deeds, Healing, and Discussing why Politics had taken over Religion. He had to deal with greedy Priests who wanted to control every facet of society without giving anything back-except to promise good things AFTER death.

What a Con.

p.s. The Trinity concept is used by Druids, and is central to Celtic Metaphysics, Wiccans have the "rule of three", Nothing is New under the Sun.

Oh cut me some slack, will ya? Catholicism is as Christian as it gets. We don't "focus on Mary," and we know that the only means of salvation is through the atoning death of Christ on the Cross. And if the Mass is "pagan," then a whole bunch of you Protestants are in deep dark doo-doo because your church services are based on the order of the Mass.

This is one Catholic who reads and knows her Bible very well, and that's why I can say that when you study Catholicism, you will see just how Scriptural our beliefs are. But you obviously haven't studied with a Catholic who knows why we believe what we do, and you've chosen to believe the lies that someone else has told you.

What I find hard to believe is the amount of ignorance and stupidity people have when it comes to the Catholic church. And speaking of stereotyping, every single sentence in your post except the last one stereotypes Catholics in one way or the other.

Before you post another barrage of nonsense, lies, and fabrications like this, try studying what the Church REALLY believes. If you can stop being so close-minded for a bit and find out the truth, I think you'll see that we're every bit as Christian as you are.

Edit:

Thanks, Spiritroaming. . .I love you, too! :-)

You wouldn't even know that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life except by reading early Catholic texts that the Catholic Church bound into a book for its own use, and which you have "borrowed" from God's Church, but are unable to interpret authoritatively. If you want to learn more about the Bible, go to a Catholic Mass. There you will hear a great deal of Scripture, more than you will ever hear at most Protestant services, complete with accurate and authoritative teaching on the texts. Wow, all Christianity consists of offshoots from a pagan cult! Doesn't say much for Christians as a whole, does it? The depth od anti-Catholic ignorance and bigotry never ceases to amaze me. The book recommended in the post below this one is a prime example of such ignorance and bigotry. In fact it is such books that are the chief source of ignorance among the uninformed fundamentalists who read such trash. Pretty pitiful when you actually have to pay money and invest time reading just to become more ignorant.

Well the day of my godfather/uncle's burial me and my family were in a Catholic church and it sounded very much Christian like to me as the preacher kept talking about how Jesus said that he was the way the truth and the life. And they kept talking about how Jesus was crucified for mankind's sins and how he is the savior. Not once did they talk about Mary. So I don't have the slightest idea as to what you're talking about. it sounds to me as if someone has been reading too many Jack Chick pamphlets.

the so known as christian hols are situated at the pagan ones so that you could soak up the pagans underneath there manipulate. The Roman empire started to free its could, plus warring was once fitting to steeply-priced in order that they took the sword inverted it and known as it the go in an effort to overcome the pagans of all domain names(constantine). For e.g Jesus is an almalgamation of all of the messiahs of prior cultures, Horus,Zeus,Mithra, Krishna and so forth. By doing this the brand new faith was once extra exceptable to the pagans bcos it was once anything they had been already conversant in. Most of the vacations are honestly situated on constellations and cosmic occurances, 'the son (solar) of God born at christmas is the rebirth of the solar after the iciness solstice. So should you wish to train actual faith get to grasp the value of the connection among the celebs and the earth, and forget about those devout frauds that handiest search to have us serve them.

I'm assuming you are a protestant. You should do a little research. You will find out a lot of what protestants believe they picked up from the Catholic church and are also based in pagan beliefs. I'll mention a couple to get you started. Worshiping on Sunday, belief in an immortal soul, belief in eternal torment...

What makes you think that Catholics do not believe that Jesus is the way, the truth, and Life?

And Mary helps lead us to him, she does not replace him.

Please educate yourself about the Catholic Faith, if you are going to bash it, at least know what you are bashing.

It is written that very few hate the Catholic faith, but Millions hate what they think the Catholic Faith is.

Peace!

The Two Babylons, by Hislop, will give the entire history of the Roman Catholic/Babylonian pagan Mother-and-Child religion back to the time of the flood.

A very easy-reading reference book, available online.

I am sure you believe that Christians are going to Heaven, right? Well, the definition of a Christian is a follower of Christ...Catholics follow Christ. Do I agree with everything they do? No, but they believe in Jesus and what he did for us. You are judging their faith and their relationships with Christ when you don't know either.
