I do it at home so I dont have anyone to compare it to.

Translation for US citizens and European OAP's:
I weigh about 150 pounds and can benchpress 154 pounds max. Is this poor? Average? Or good?

The majority of people can not lift their own body weight.

I have been involved with training for 16 years and I can say without a doubt in my mind that this is a good weight. Most people I have trained that want to improve strength and muscle size would take a long time to build up to that.
However being personal trainer I am strict on technique so make sure that you are able to keep the bar at a lower chest level and when you press maintain that plane of direction. Also on lowering the weight back down bring it all the way to your chest, if you're experienced, just before it touches press again. If you answer yes to those technique then you can pat yourself on the back and know full well that you are already at a very good level!

sounds impressive to me, but I'd rather someone had a personality than a good bench pressing record

Benching your weight is about average. Not poor or good.

that's really good... if you can lift your own body weight... if you want to see good and lasting results forget about the weights and do press ups, sits up, etc anything that allows you to lift your self...

the majority of adult males can not bench press their own bodyweight so you are above average in that lift.
