Hi, i'm 5'5 and between 175-178 pounds. I do have muscle from dancing and gymnastics. I want to be an actress SO bad, but my mom said I can't unless I lose alot of weight. It makes me feel so upset and I need help and support. Can someone tell me a good weight to be, at 5'5 and I have a small body frame. Thanks!

perhaps some 30 to 40 lbs less since yer a lil bit short. Change your diet and exercise a bit more. if you cant, you can still be an actress cos you have talent and interest. Weight isnt all that is to it.

Eat only when hungry and that too not more than thrice a day. No solid/liquids in between other than water. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate body sytem to generate signals when one is hungry/full.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

By following the above procedure u will achieve results u have never dreamt ever.

a good actress isn't based on weight, and your mom is only trying to redirect your energies, getting a job as an actress is highly competative, and pretty girls are a dime a dozen. Look at Oprah Winfrey, she weighed over 200 pounds in the Color Purple, and it garnered her an Oscar. No, it takes talent to make it as an actress, not looks.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
