First of all, it is very important to determine the cause of your pain. Diagnostic tests such as MRIs, CT Scans, X-Rays, will help determine if you have any bulging disk, joint instability, scoliosis, or neural tube defects. First choice of treatment would be physical therapy and pain management, which I'm sure you have already tried. Surgery would be a last course of action. Spine surgeries are not always successful. Laminectomies sometimes help with disk disease but other times may aggravate your pain. Back pain can be unpredictable and hard to manage. As a victim of chronic back pain, I'd like to discuss with you a new procedure that may help aleviate your pain. Its called: Medtronic Implantable Neurotransmitter-
Catether is inserted into your spinal column. It is an alternative treatment for chronic pain. It uses a small system that is surgically placed under the skin to send mild electrical impulses to the spine and lower extremities. These impulses block the pain signal from reaching the brain. It feels like a tingling sensation and it can give pain relief and decrease the need for any pain medications. Greater than 50% of the pain is relieved, which will help your overall quality of life.
I recommend it, because as a patient with extensive back surgery, back pain was my only way of life. By the time I was 30, I've already had 6 spine surgeries. This procedure has been the only thind that has given me hope for the future. Now that my pain has decreased considerably, maybe I can have my old life back. And my hope is that you can also have your old life back. No one deserves to live in pain.
Talk with your orthopaedist/pain management specialist about this inovative procedure.

Lot's of questions before you get advice. First, what happen? did you have an accident, illness. You see, if you have an injury and you start exercising, you could damage yourself belong repair.
Start with your doctor, do see him and he'll take Cats or at least X-Rays, see what the trouble is first.
I've had twelve surgeries on my back. I have twelve cadaver bones, twelve of my own bones and 32 wires in my back, it's beyond repair. I'm on a drug therapy and will be the rest of my life. I will be in a wheel chair soon.
You can't mess with your back. Find out first what's wrong, get that fixed first, then go ahead and get on a program for ex cerise if it warrants it. Don't rush into things. You might be sorry.
I go to bed at nine at night and am awake by one in the A.M. my wife holding my hand, I'm in so much pain, waiting for pills to take hold, I stay awake 'till four or five. I sleep 'till six or so then I'm awake all day and, it starts over.
I'm in my woodworking shop all day to ignore the pain. You don't want to live like this, believe me.

Hey, I have the same problem. Pain killers don't work for me. So I go to the chiropractor and it really helps when you put ice on it for 15 minutes everyday. It worked for me. There are some excerises you can do but i don't know where i put them so as soon as i find the site then you'll be the first to know!
