dead an embalmed body?

Hell, I mean they claim they can cure cancer, make the cripple walk, cure arthritis and warts, make the blind see, the deaf hear and bring the dead back to life and cure any other kind of handicap/ illness.......why not help an amputee or an embalmed cadaver?

Kind of like asking why my car can't tow an 80 ton trailer, isn't it? Does the fact that the power isn't infinite diminish the reality of the well documented healings that have occurred?? Remember, it isn't the so-called "healer" who heals. The "healer" only intercedes on behalf of the sick person. It is God Who heals - or doesn't. We don't know the mind of God.

God is real.
The so-called "Faith Healers" are not.

Signs and wonders were used in the establishment of the church of Jesus Christ amongst the Gentile nations throughout the world.

They were the signs of an apostle.
They were given for no other purpose.

Signs and wonders were used to establish the Church of Jesus Christ through the apostles. Again, care in reading the Word of God reveals very, very clearly that once the church was established, there was a complete cessation of these gifts. Those who profess to follow Christ, and claim to desire to be ruled in all things, by scripture alone, will find themselves obliged, not only to note, but ponder carefully the timeline that is evident in the following texts:

1. Certain: “So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.” [Acts 19:12]

2. Less Certain: “For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.” [Philippians 2:27]

3. Not Certain: “Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.” [2 Timothy 4:20]

Do not blame God for the proliferation of Religious Showmen, "Christian" Con-men, Pentecostal Personalities, or any other religious beggars.

The New Testament is exceptionally clear --- False teachers are declared to arise from amongst the ranks of those who professed themselves to be Christians.

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” [Matthew 24:24]
