Assume that it was proven that it was his book and that he wrote it and that the teachings were consistant with the teachings of the bible (although clearly some would argue that they weren't consistant with their interpretation of the Bible).

so....word of God and scripture or not???

Explain your reasons.

And for anyone who uses Revelations 22:18 &19 "If any man shall add unto these things", keep in mind that Moses said the same thing in Deuteronomy 4:2. If you believe them both, then you'd have to say that every book after Deuteronomy was added to it.

They were both clearly referring to their own words and not the words of other prophets and not canonizations that would be created later.

So...scripture or not??? Would you pray about it to find out if it were scripture? Would you read it to see for yourself what you thought? If you minister said it was from satan would you automatically believe him?

The 66 books were chosen from the books that were available at the time.

BUT, what if these books weren't available at the time, and there was absolutely no question as to their authenticity AND the teachings were consistent with the teachings of the Bible.

In this hypothetical situation, there is no question that they were written by those people.

....and the bible hadn't been canonized when Timothy wrote that, nor had all the books been written by then.

This book wouldn't shake your faith, but would compliment it and add to what you already have.

Excellent question.

No, neither could be considered inspired Scripture because it apparently had not enjoyed divine protection as the other 66 books have. Similarly, the holy spirit did not move the early congregation to include any but the 66 in the bible canon centuries ago.

It is impossible for Adam and Enoch to write a book. Even from the time of Abraham, their stories were handed down through generations by words of mouth. So, if a book you are saying will come out and it has signatures of Adam or Enoch then you will know it is fake.
Christians specially Catholics have ommitted, added and changed so many things in the Bible. One good thing however is that the Book of Revelations truly revealed the deceptions made. The New Testament is not the real New Testament and all the Mysteries of God were given only to HIS servants the Prophets. Revelation 10:7. So, consult only the Prophets and not the apostles...www.thename.ph

Because I am a bible reading, my faith is not shaken because I read some other book. whether by Adam , Enoch or Joe Doe down the street.

The Holy Spirit will guide you into the way of truth. Try the spirit, see if it is from God. And that my friend is what I would do.

There were several books supposedly written by Enoch and Adam used around before, during, and after the time of Jesus. I Enoch is quoted in Jude 14 and 15.

2 Timothy 3:16. the Bible is already done. If the Holy Spirit wanted anything more, it would have been put in already.

1) That applies to revelation only since that vision was given to john only and no man should add to it.

2) the book of enoch is scripture and is quoted verbatim by jude which is cannonized as well as by Paul in hebrews if i recall...

the book of enoch is my favorite outside of revelation...want to read about giants? fallen angels that brought knowledge to the ancients? earth ages..dimensions...sirens(as in female sirens not a cop car) etc....waaaaaaaaay cool reading whether you believe it or not....

print this answer in times new roman font and see:

LORD GOD the FATHER
LORD GOD the SON
LORD GOD the HOLY SPIRIT

means:
see FAT IL lER\ (=FATHER(read between the letters))
see TODD(Son within the LORD and His GODDESS when written in times new roman font)
see HOLY SPIRIT =H+o+...=8+15+....=...=7=.... =S+t+...=Stevenson

Thus God the FATHER, the SON, and the HOLY SPIRIT is/was/will be:

pronounced LER\ TODD STEVENSON, and will forever be known as the I AM(I AM=I AIVI(sealed together) just as the Good News Bible predicted in Ex. 3.14.

I AM that boy whose name is pronounced Leri Todd Stevenson who says I AIVI(sealed together, ie. IIII I)

That is undeniable fact!!!

Since I am using my own Bible I was given in 1992 I doubt I would ever read it. I certainly wouldn't include it in my theology.
