How do you cure a stammer(stutter)?

I have problems with my speech sometimes.I am now 30 and had it since i was young.Any advice wold be appreciated.

I don't think anybody will help you on here. Have you ever seen a speech therapist? She/He will be able to find reason why you stutter. When you were young you must have experience some kind of trauma and that's when it started.
You can try to take deep breath before you talk, talk slowly, pay attention to every word you say, try not to get nervous when you notice that you have just stammered. At home you can exercise your speech by reading aloud a book, slowly, with no pressure from outside, and soon you will be able to notice that you can talk without stuttering. Good luck. x

Several of my uncles and cousins used to stutter. They got help by getting the book "Self Therapy for the Stutterer" from The Stuttering Foundation. After working diligently through the steps over and over, they were able to overcome their stuttering with the exception of times of extreme stress. Only one also went to a speech therapist who specialized in treating stuttering at the same time he worked through the book. Their web site is www.stutteringhelp.org.

My dad outgrew it when he was around your age, so don't despair. Bruce Willis, the actor outgrew it. You may want to write him (?) and see how He got rid of it. I inherit that from my dad and have learned to accept it, but I do have my painful days and situations and being a woman and getting hormonal doesn't help either, but I look at it this way..there are people and situations worse than a speech impediment. well some people have had it cured but both my brother and son has a bad stammer and been though loads of different things and still nothing has helped if u have a cure let me know
