After you make the arrest, you will have to appear in court to testify the same as a law enforcement officer.......You will have to inform the offender what they are being arrested for, and read them their rights..... Notify Police to come and pick them up.....You must inform the offender that you are making a citizens arrest when arresting them......Handcuffs may be necessary so I would have them available......

in UK law you can place someone under citizens arrest only for an "arrestable offence"-that is to say the offence commited must carry a minimum penalty of 5 years inprisonment. to make the arrest you must tell the person why you are doing so. if the person resists you have the right to use reasonable force but should excercise restraint. anyone making a citizens arrest must call the police or take the suspect to a police station a soon as is reasonably practicle if the arrest is to be legal-you could be charged with false imprisonment (or assault and battery if the offence was not an imprisonable one) if you fail to do this. if the situation calls for it you may use handcuffs but must release the suspect as soon as the situation has calmed down or the police have taken charge. if the suspect poses no further threat and you injure him he could have you charged with assault.

A "Citizens Arrest" is tricky, you may not use force to detain unless met with force, and when making the arrest, you must state in a firm voice that you are requesting the person to remain and wait for the Police to answer allegations against them. You may also notify the person that if they refuse, it will constitute a charge of avoiding detention (only if theirs probable cause to detain), and that they will be charged with said. Each State has varying Laws on this subject and the person attempting to make a Citizens Arrest should be informed for if yo violate that persons Constitutional Rights, YOU are subject to a lawsuit and/or incarceration.
GOD BLESS/GOOD LUCK!!

You tell the person they are under citizens arrest for (name the crime) in the presence of a Peace Officer, and the Peace Officer takes it from there. WARNING!!! Not to be done lightly. You will incur a serious civil liability if the case is tossed or the person is found not guilty. In other words, they can sue your butt off.
Or in your case you roundhouse kick him and tell his dead body that it's under arrest. :) (Hey...I couldn't resist)

I would just stay away from it. Because you can be attacked or killed trying to execute it. I think if you handcuff another citizen without the authority, isn't that like attempted kidnapping or something? Definitely aggravated something.
