I had a pimple on my face and i scratched it off. Then i got a scab and i dont like the look of scabs so i scratched it off. Then a new scab appeared. The 3rd time it didnt grow back so now its just a burning fleshy tanish open spot on my face thats always wet. sounds gross right? I want it to go away.

You really need to leave it alone! By picking the scab off repeatedly, you are interrupting the healing process. Do you also know that ripping the scab off increases your chances of a bigger, more noticeable scar when the area finally does heal?

For now, keep the area clean and apply a tiny amount of polysporin (an antibiotic ointment you can buy at any drug store) until healing is complete. You can cover it with a clear bandaid spot if the appearance of it really bothers you. If it forms another scab, let it alone! If you see signs of infection, please see your doctor.

When healing is finally complete, you will need to give it time to see if there is scarring and how much that scar fades. If scarring develops and is extremely noticeable, you may need to see a dermatologist for treatment.

vitamin e works for superficial scars, if they are caught right away. various skin creams with acids..ie. AHA, basically any kind of exfoliants. You can also get several microdermabrasions or a chemical peel, if they are pretty deep. If they create little pits, you'll probably have to get injectable facial fillers. What a pain in the a$$. I had acne when I was around 15, I'm 24 now and still have small reddish scars on my lower cheeks, they are no big deal, and foundation covers them.
