Water Dogs are good big bass bait. I prefer artificials and rarely use anything else. A Jig and trailer bait is one of the most versatile bass lures available.

Alot of good answer so far it reallys comes down to personal perference. I will name a few baits that seem to work most anytime in a pond. A Yum Dinger on a shaky head, texas rigged wtih a 1/8 oz tungsten weight, or wacky style on spinning gear. I also use in shallow ponds a Stike King Bleeding tube in red and white. Its really cool seeing your bait in the water then all of the sudden its gone! Also it the pond has any wood cover then I like a spinnerbait but more recently a chatterbait works well!

Usually if you go bass fishing you would want to use a lure but if you are using real bait, wax worms seem to work pretty well. Good luck fishing!

well I was actually going to say the same thing as exert-7, water dogs are the best live bait for big bass even when your on a boat trolling them too.

Live shiners, rubber worms, top water lures, basically any type of lure you can find. If the water you are fishing in is dark use a darkish colored lure, if the waters clear where you fish use a light colored lure.

There are alot of options but my favorite is live minnows (3-5 inches in length) and double rig them at the mouth and tail.

found some jail bait at the lake. I liked her bass. Enough said already, but use your imagination.

I also enjoy trolling.
