Why is everything so much more expensive, and why do wages or benefits never go up in line with inflation? Greed. Pure and simple.

Also, many hundreds of blackcurrants go into a litre bottle - true, so does a lot of other stuff!

I love blackcurrants, but never in that form!! In Latvia you can get them really cheaply and fantastic quality - or pick them straight off the bush in country allotments, but you rarely see them on sale here, in England!!

Please watch the advertisement and you will understand why Ribena is so expensive. This is because billions of blackcurrents make it as it says in the ad. And remember fine quality always comes at high amount of price.

I thought that, so a little while ago, Ribena had an offer on the side of some of their fine beverage for a Ribena tree! So gullible as ever I sent off for it . . . Three months later a twig pops thru the letter box in the most padded envelope you ever did see, that why it's so bloody expensive, they use the finest packaging materials to post a sodding twig

It's expensive, AND according to a couple of kids in New Zealand, it's got hardly any vitamin C!!!

Absurdly, the price makes it seem worth more.Recently, the 'Ribena' makers offered an apology for suggesting that it had the amount of Vitamin C they'd been suggesting.
