Obviously the plugs are different, but I am wondering about power, wattage etc?

Yes it should be fine.I bought some of my electrical stuff from Ireland and just got the plugs changed.

Europe and Australia are on 220-240v 50hz so electrical equipment does not need any transformers. The USA is on 110v 60hz so it does need a transformer.

You can use ur electrical equipment in OZ but your TV or DVD player will need to get converted but u would be better buying new ones ova there...........

No yr equipment wont work in Australia so u'll have to buy
new stuff.

I believe that if you just get the plugs changed by a sparkie, then they should be fine. we are also on 240v
