14 years ago this was me. I was told that the lump had no characteristic properties of cancer, their advice was to wait 6 month and have the test run again. I didn't like the fact that I had a lump in my breast, so I had it removed. After 3 weeks of testing the tissue and sending it out to the specialist, it came back cancer!
So, I would say to you have it taken out or biopsied right away. Try seeking out an oncologist, or surgeon.

Well, I have been you..... twice. I had a biopsy done both times. Both times it has not been cancer, but had it been cancer I was already on the road to recovery by having it removed. It's much worse to wonder if it's cancer than to find out if it is or isn't.
Get it taken care of. Don't wait, if it's cancer it can spread, if its a lymphnode....... Thank God!
Take Care and Good Luck!

"Probably" is not good enough, at least not for me.
Cancer can be cured if diagnosed and corrected early. The quicker the better.I f it is breast tissue or a lymphnode that can be corrected also. I had a lymphnode and the Doctor made a tiny incision and removed it. Good Luck!

I would ask your doctor to refer you to get a mamogram, so that they may look at the shape of the lump. An irregular shape would be more consistent to a non-cancerous condition. a solid-formed more regular shape mass would be more indicative of cancer. Take care....

A very simple answer: if the lump moves it is not cancerous, but if it is an immobile lump it needs reassessment.

Definitely! It sounds like the doctor is discounting you because you are young. Ask for a prescription for a mamogram. However, I would switch docs and get a mamo or ultrasound.
Do it.

Look in the yellow pages for "breast specialist physicians" and get a second opinion.

either see your doctor again and insist of a biopsy or see a different doctor - (like a surgeon) and they will address it the correct way.
