Its not awful. Have you ever had medical insurance before? Quit whining. I think its certainly worth your time. I have a
$1500.00 individual deductible & pay $98.00 per every 2 weeks through my job for my spouse & I. If I were single, it would be 85.00 every 2 weeks for the same plan.
The alternative is no insurance... And, if you get really sick or have an injury without health insurance, taxes & charities will pay for YOUR medical care... Or, even worse, the hospitals will have to write off their expenses... So, yes. It is worth your time.

Well, if you don't want the deductible, you're looking at $300 a month, if you're healthy and 30. So, do the math. If you go to the doctor once a year for a checkup, and are relatively healthy, you're paying $80 x 12, less $100 for your checkup, and another $150 for testing. Total out of pocket = $1210, and if you have a major problem, it's going to be covered.
If you want a plan with no deductibles, you're looking at $3600 out of pocket, plus copays.
So, if the POINT of the insurance is to keep you from being bankrupt if you break your ankle funny and need $75,000 of surgery, YOUR plan is cheaper. If the point is to go to the doctor every month with every cold you have, then the more expensive plan (typical BCBS plan) would be the way to go.
It's up to YOU.

That is a really low price. Read the policy thoroughly. Make sure you understand the coverage. As some specific questions like what are the costs the hospital charges for surgery and rehab following a broken hip after a car accident and what does the policy pay for these treatments.

Yes, frankly, that's dirt cheap. And you will only realize how valuable that policy is should you require the services of a hospital, emergency room, or both.

What's the alternative - no insurance? I have had to pay a lot more than that!
