14 is so young.
When I was 14yrs old I was built like I was 25 thick is what I like to call it. Other cultures told me I was chubby. 10yrs later I am a size 2 without trying actually I want some of that chub back. Eat well cut down on bread only have it with one meal and cut out other whole wheat and try grain. Exercises is really a natural healthy way to stay/get in shape. You don't have to get a video or anything like that jump rope with your skinny cousin or walk around the mall for 2 hours while you are chillin whatchin T.V do sit up while its a commercial go in your room play your favorite CD and dance for 60mins. Drink lots of water cut out as much sugar as you can.
But be patient your still growing for another 2-4 yrs and after you turn 18 your body goes through more changes as long as you eat healthy and exercises should fill out the way God wanted you to.

A couple of years ago a friend that I hadn't seen in a while had lost a considerable amount of weight and absolutely just glowed. Her skin and hair looked healthy when I would have expected to see some dryness and sagging from that much weight loss.
She had bought a rebounder (mini-trampoline), kept it in her office as she has work from home business and would get on it at 30 minute or so intervals for anywhere from 3 minutes to 15 minutes, depending on her schedule. On days that she couldn't or didn't get on it that often, she would make time for a single 20 minute session using rebound exercise videos for different moves. I was concerned that it would only exercise the lower part of the body, but it is actually very much a whole body process.
She looks and feels fabulous and the rebounder is still in her office and very much a part of her daily routine. She bought the one that folds in half so she can store it in the closet if necessary, or under a bed.
After seeing how much her health had improved, I bought one as well. While not as diligent as she is (yet) I have definitely lost weight and my legs, buttocks and back have really begun to show some definition. I also have a good bit more energy. I have noticed that if I miss a day or so, my energy levels flag. My intention is to rebound daily. I bought mine at Rebound to Health.
It cost about $200 but is commercial quality and I fully expect it to last me for many years to come.
Hope this helps!

November 21, 2004 will go down in history as the day that Hoodia Gordonii was discovered in America. It was on that date that CBS 60 Minutes aired a program about Hoodia Gordonii and for the first time many people were introduced to this traditional botanical. Hoodia is currently the most publicized and talked about natural weight loss supplement in America . It has been featured on CBS 60 Minutes, ABC, NBC Today, BBC, CNN, in Oprah's “O” Magazine and in other major media.
Authentic Hoodia Gordonii is only available for export from South Africa. In the wild it is considered an endangered species and is strictly controlled. With the opportunity presently surrounding hoodia, the product is in very high demand which has created a surplus of counterfeit, fake and diluted hoodia products.
We have tested the leading Hoodia Brands and have selected three products that we feel offer the safest, most effective weight loss on the market today.
Hoodia Gordonii Plus is a cutting-edge, advanced appetite suppressant, metabolism booster, fat burner and energy enhancer all in one. This is a supplement if you are looking for more than just an appetite suppresent. thats all 100 % FDA Approved.

Here's some tips on how you can lose weight quickly:
1 Drink lots of water
2 Eat 5 small meals in a day. By consistenlty giving you body food, you keep your metabolism reved up all day. On the contrary, if you don't eat (skip meals) your body thinks it is starving and your metabolism grinds to a halt b/c your body needs to conserve the existing fat in your body.
3 Exercise. Even if you hate exercising, you could at least do some. If you must, do little things such as taking the stairs instead of using the elevator. Little things add up.
4 Don't eat any food (especially carbs) after 9. It's just going to turn into fat.
5 Eat right and avoid high fat and high calorie foods. Eat plenty of vegetables and fruit. Make sure you cut soda out of your diet altogether because it only contains empty calories and sugar.
Good Luck!

Here's a really good place to start:
http://kidshealth.org/teen/food_fitness/dieting/weight_height.html
on that website you can figure out what's the right weight for your height. they also have lots of information for people your age about being heathy and losing weight.
The main thing is to not starve yourself and eat lots fruits and veggies. Skip the sugary soda and drink water. Cut out candy and fast food (if you eat this stuff). You don't need to eliminate bread...but try eating whole wheat. Make sure you drink 3 glasses of milk a day (calcium helps your bones and can help with weight loss). Stay active, but you don't need to exercise until you pass out.
Remember to be safe and healthy if you really do want to lose weight.

Hey,
Just a note before I start: crunches, push ups, situps, etc will not help you loose weight! THEY WILL MAKE YOU GAIN MUSCLE!!!!
What you really need to do if you want to loose
weight, is make sure you do these VERY important
things:
1. Have no more than 1,300 calories a day! Look on
every nutrition label of what you eat, and always buy
low calorie foods!
2. Exercise! But not for muscles! People get loosing
weight and gaining juscle confused. The gym is good
for tonning up muscles, but to loose weight, you
really have to run, jump, swim, and anything else that
really makes you sweat, sweat, sweat!!!! Exercise for
AT Least 1-3 hoursa a day!
3. EAT HEALTHY! Some people skip breakfast and lunch
and then have a huge dinner right before bed. That is
absolutely the worst thing you can do for your immune
system! You will gain weight and will NEVER be able to
loose it because your immune system will be screwd up!
Make sure you have a large breakfast with no (or
little) breads. Like one egg, 2 turkey sausages, and
one waffle. Cereal and milk is good, but with 1% milk
and no sugery cereal like lucky charms, fruit loops,
etc.
Have a medium sized lunch, no hamburgers, fries, or
soda. A salad or tofu, or chicken strips (not fried)
or anything else yummy and helathy you can think of.
But still watch the calories.
Always remember to have dinner BEFORE 6 PM! A light
soup with toast, or low calorie mac and cheese and a
salad is good. Maybe a veggie low calorie lasgna.
Also, dont EVER eat meat after 7 pm! Especially pork
and beef. Chicken is ok, but eat it no less that 3
hours before bed.
No snacking on chips, chocolate, or any calorie
filled, starurated fat drenched, snacks during the
day! If your craving for a snack, dried fruit or
regular fruit or special K bars are good. BUT NO
ENERGY BARS, BECAUSE THEY HAVE TONS OF SUGAR!!!!
4. Go to bed early! Did you know that the more you
sleep, the more fat you burn? Thats why you are always
lighter in the morning, by a pound or so.
5. HAVE WILLPOWER!!!! You have to know when to tell
yourself to stop! Sometimes you need it to tell you to
go exercise, sometimes not to eat donuts and cake at a
birthday party.
There is a very fine but important difference between eating your normal daily value of food, and eating healthy. People are just genetically born with either a week or strong metabolism. Slim people need to eat all types of food to keep from not loosing to much weight and bing unhealthy, and people with weak metblosms need to eat less grain, meat, and excersise way more that other people with strong metablosms.
I really hope you reach your goal!!!!!
Good Luck!!!!!

Regular Cardio. Walking, running, or a combination of the two is good. Don't focus secifically on ASabs, that's not going to get you anywhere. I started running everyday, about a mile and walking a mile too. It takes about 40 minutes total, and I lost 16 pounds in 4 weeks. And I still get to eat like a normal person.

It is extremely hard because@ home every one eat it, but will power is needed if we really want to lose weight. Also run running the best thing to lose weight. At least 3 times a week run a mile. Good luck!

If you don't like vegetables like me... try disguising vegetables into spaghetti sauce, meatloaf, lasagna, almost anything you like you can disguise it. Spinach is a great addition to dishes and you can't taste it. Eating fresh spinach in your salads can also be great nutrition. Nutrition is the key. If we don't eat nutrition and we continue to eat processed foods without natural nutrition, our body cells mutate and/or die off making our bodies age earlier and can lead to cancer at young ages like never before.
If you like bread, try eating freshly made organic breads. I am an organic type of person, but it is costly. Do not replace all of your foods with organics if you cannot afford them, instead replace only what you eat the most of, such as bread. You won't believe the difference in the ingredients when you eat it.
Also add frozen fruits to a blender, it makes a great smoothie.
1-2 cups organic apple juice (very inexpensive)
2 cups frozen fruit (blueberries, strawberries, peaches, etc..)
1 banana
Blend until smooth, my kids love it!! It is a great replacement for the cravings of junk food.
OH and DO NOT DRINK SODA. you will not lose weight and it will give you kidney infections.

I'm sorry if this seems offensive to you, but your 14, your not 20, or 30 all you need to do is avoid junk food and soda, eat small portions of your Italian food, and go be a kid, your only 14 and on a low, or no carb. diet, kids your age don't need this, you need to get off of myspace or whatever and walk/run/ride around the neighborhood, dancing to music, cleaning your house (you will be surprised how many calories you lose from cleaning up), now I know you may be looking for results now, but in the long run this is a better way to live, your body/brain needs carbs. Its a supplemental energy source, for the brain (don't quote me on that, but I've heard people have died of a lack of carbs. in there body, in which there brains shut down). Anyway its best for you to just listen to the comericals that says get up and go play, because Im sure you have time to do these things, unlike people who work or go to college and have to go to extremes to lose wieght because they don't have time, you do. And just because your cousins skinny doesn't make her healthy.
