I work at a hospital and most hospitals have a fairly sized volunteer department. You should inquire at any local hospitals, nursing homes, etc. I noticed you didnt seem to have an interest in a particular area. If you do have an interest in a particular career path, try to see if that can fit into a volunteering experience. You may find that you have found your calling or found out it isn't for you before you invest in the education.

Here are a few places you can try:

Local hospital.
Local library (I am a volunteer ESOL tutor through our library)
Local schools.
Local police department (ask for a victim advocate)

Even if you do not want to volunteer at one of these places, many of them will know of non-profit agencies in their area that they can recommend to you, so it is worth giving them a call. I think it is wonderful that you are considering this. Not enough people do. Good luck!

You will have the greatest success by choosing something that you feel passionate about and the actuall work that may be involved. For example....if you love gardening contact your local Master gardening ***. and ask them about places that are in need of help. If you love to cook work in a food kitchen that feeds the homeless. If you have great ideas about raising money talk to the local rottary club. If you enjoy your volunteer time it will be both more meaningfull and sucessfull for the agency you are working with. Best of luck!

Your volunteer center can help you find specific community projects and non-profit agencies in your local area to help you make an impact in your community. For short-term and one-time projects, your Volunteer Center can help you find some volunteer work that matches your interests. Volunteer centers connect you with many different local non-profit agencies, and typically can refer you to other agencies for long-term projects.

Through my volunteer center, I tutor children at the library, enrich arts and culture by helping visitors at the local museum, work at the local food bank, children's shelter, and clean our neighborhoods, parks, and beaches.

Good luck!

I have done many hours of volunteering and earned my Jefferson Cup. I volunteer with the Girls Scouts. It is a wonderful program and they are ALWAYS needing help or Leaders. The sense of fulfillment is wonderful when you see the girls smiling and enjoying themselves. In addition, the Girl Scouts also do a tremendous service to their community.

non secular war is going on. we've some lively squaddies doing prayer-healing and exorcisms. regrettably, somewhat some something are the two unarmed with non secular powers or unprotected via the armor of God. some understand what is going on yet are too vulnerable to combat. i'm in basic terms a lowly draftee, yet i'm struggling with already.
