Or, do you simply think and say to yourself, "tough luck" (In a snotty way).

Yes, I Surely do. Thank God, He convicts me immediately! I apologize and try to make up for it , as soon as possible. It is really something the way the Holy Spirit "checks" Us when we do things that are not pleasing in His Sight! I am so glad..........Then we can "sleep" at night, right? Amen. + + +

I do feel "guilty" if my intent was to be hurtful, yes, which I'm getting away from as best as I can. Now how OTHERS interpret my intentions, I'm learning the hard way, is a different matter altogether. I've had people take offense at things I've said with no "evil" intent and even His Holiness the Dalai Lama has said that there are those who will take "offense" even if you wish them a nice day or smile at them, so it's all perceptual in many ways.

I have guilt. In fact, I gave some delivery men the 5th degree yesterday over them not delivering all of my furniture. I feel that it was their fault because they wanted me to sign something saying I received everything when I didn't and their boss on the phone told me all sales are final and I should have paid more for it for better service. He also said I talk to much and listened to nothing I said. Even though he was a butt hole, I felt bad about it. Why do people defend themselves when they are wrong as wrong gets? Makes me get ugly then I have guilt over it. Just admit your mistake, offer a solution, and call it a day.

I always feel guilty when I hurt someone. In the past, I've been hurt by other people's comments, verbal abuse etc so I try to think about every word I speak before it comes out of my mouth.

Yes, and I apologize and/or ask forgiveness. Guilt is the proper response when you hurt someone. To NOT feel guilt, is arrested development and you should go back and figure when your conscience was twisted. Had to be between 2 to 5 years of age.

I don't hurt anyone outside of my household. And with that, it's just me ol' lady and I. I do feel pangs of guilt after we argue whether it was my fault or not. So I take it like a man and apologize to her for whatever we were arguing about.

Funny thing, though, after that I don't remember what the argument was about. *shrug* I guess that's a good thing.

Always. Even just seconds after I've had a unkind thought about someone, or say something bad to them I immediately wish I hadn't because I don't want someone acting that way to me.

Absolutely. I cry about it for days also. I try not to be hurtful but as an imperfect human I'm bound to make mistakes.

Usually they've hurt me first, so I try to justify it.
I still feel guilty- but I try to make amends and move on.

I find it devastating when I hurt someone--either physically or by treading on their feelings,--and I tend to beat myself up about it for hours, days, weeks, and sometimes even years after.
