For reliability, any Honda. They are the only manufacturer that has never made a car or truck that showed up on Consumer Reports' 'List of Shame' (their annual car issue's "Used Cars to Avoid").
For purity, Lotus Elise. They have remained true to Colin Chapman's credo of light cars with amazing agility.
For value, a Hyundai. This car company will be the next Toyota in a few years.
For fantasy fullfillment, a Ferrari 599GTB of course.
For making a big impression, Rolls Royce Phantom. A Maybach may be a better automobile, but EVERYBODY knows what a Rolls is.
For a sports car that even a mortal can afford with a little saving and a sharp eye on the Auto Trader, Porsche Boxter S.
For blowing minds at the High School Reunion, a Lamborghini Murcielago.
For driving satisfaction in a daily driver, BMW 335i Coupe.

I really love the new Audi TT Roadster!! It smooth, cool , practical and really sexy! The best colour to have it in is Ferrari red. SO COOL! The Aygo is quite good as well. Very dinky. OH Yeah, and the Aston Martin DBS, not practical at all but still fantastic. If you meant best by practical, sexy, smooth and awesome, then no such car has been invented yet, there are some car manufacturers which are on the brink to making one, but still no car That good. Besides car company's are going to have to start considering hybrid cool cars due to global warming. If they make a cool, sophisticated, practical , hybrid, nice sounding( vroom) car that everyone can afford, that would be the ideal car for me.

None. All modern cars suck.
The best cars are the sports cars from the 80s, 90s, and from 2000, 2001, 2002, and all Mustang GTs and Dodge Chargers from 2003 and on up.
So no, actually, that means the best modern brand new car is the 2007 Dodge Charger with its V8, not the V6 one.

I was looking at some classic cars on tv today and some looked really hideous but were classy. I guess I like classic cars becuz I don't like the changes they've done to new cars eg they new VW beetle 2012. I don't like the new design. I miss the old one.

Define best? Highest quality? Best value for the dollar? Best performance? Most reliable? Most attractive? The list goes on.
In other words, there is no one "Best" car out there.
