It should still be with it's mother for at least another 30 days. It's still a baby. It should still be learning from it's mother. It will be hard to start teaching anything yet.

I'm many places it's illegal to let a puppy go this young.

i agree a 6 week old puppy should still be with its mother, unless it was orphaned. wait til its older about 8-10 weeks before you start training it. also know that puppies dont have very long attention span's so dont get irritated when they loose interest. only work with him/her for a few minutes at a time, then let it play or whatever. the best thing to do i let it be a puppy and guide it as it grows, train it to sit, stay etc slowly. and only do one thing at a time.

This 6 week old puppy should still be with his/her mommy, and she should be doing the training, on how to be a dog. Who sold you a puppy this young?

OK, please tell me that you have the puppies, plural and that they are in a litter and still with their mother. 43 day old puppies are way to young to be away from their mother. 8 weeks is the recommended earliest
