I mean how many people love and accept christ because they want to go to heaven, like nearly all christians, will god accept them into heaven and not the many many non religious people, who go out and love and help others, the people who don't ask for anything, not money, they just do it out of love, and god will have them punished. Now, no bible quotes, your god claims to be perfect... is this perfect? Suck-ups, or generally nice people who don't seek rewards for helping others?

I'm sorry that is the way you feel.

I am kind because I choose to be kind, not for any great reward or acknowledgement. . . .I believe God is going to look at the whole picture, the big picture. .. .but I can tell you that I believe that you must first believe in God before you can go to heaven . . . .on another note I also believe that there will be many who do believe that do not enter the gates as well. God is the judge. . .and He is a just judge. . .and He is the only one who sees the whole picture and the motives of our hearts.

We don't "suck up" to the Creator....

We give up everything to Him.....and He is the only one who is able to save us from our sins.

Try as we might, our good deeds would never be enough to merit us a place in heaven. Christ did the finished work for us on the cross

Jesus knows everyone's heart. But the funny thing is when people get to know Him it's amazing the change that happens to thier heart. If you just think your "sucking up" it will get you nowhere. You can fool a lot of folks but not God.

I think you made a GREAT point in your question. I am not a religious person. I am much happier and tend to be a good person just for the joy of being a good person. Not because my deeds are going to buy my way into heaven.

You can call it 'sucking up' if you want, but I was ready to kill myself when I decided to trust him. So for me, I had to hit the bottom, and decide that I could not do it by myself. I chose his way over mine, and I gave my whole self to him, all of me. Holding back nothing.

Saying 'sucking up' tends to lend towards cowardice. To me anyways. I would tell you that it takes bravery to trust in a God who could as easily kill you. For me, I would have ended it. But God chose that I should live, at least until now!

If you claim to be a christian but live a life of hate and not wanting to help people, then you might want to take a deep look at yourself and why you are living in opposition to what Jesus said.

People think he does, but they will be mightily surprised when they find out he wants a lot more than just lip service. If their bible is true a whole lot of christians will be burning right next to me in hell.

"poor sinners... the greater the sinner the more right he has to My mercy."

"My mercy is so great that no mind, be it man or angel will ever be able to fanthom it thouroughout all etenity."

To Christians:

"I demand from you deeds of mercy that are to arise out of love for Me. You are to show mercy towards your neighbors always and everywhere. You must not shrink form this or try to excuse yourself from it..."

good is really insecure, so he needs people to constantly tell him how great he is. Thats why he drives a convertible and dates 18 year old angels.

Now you understand why it's impossible to rationalize with religious fanatics. They'll tell you that they're pro-life, pro-war and pro-death penalty all in the same breath....It's scary!!!!
